Where's the first bathroom photo - I can't seem to place it? Love the tile features in the powder room - did that cost extra? I am drooling!! Overheads in the kitchen look fantastic - is the sink going under there? The stove has a bar down the middle - where does the oven go? You'll love the extended pantry. What is your brick colour? Bricking in July - handover in November - WOW!!!! can you put your floorplan in? Fi has moved in!! Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 370Oct 30, 2009 6:34 am Hi Brit, My computer skills are very limited lol- its taken a long time to get photos up and going, i'll upload more today- hopefully. The feature in the powder room did cost extra The sink is going in under the overhead cabinets, and my pantry and laundry will be installed hopefully next week ( i had another cabinet maker do those ) I went for 2 x 600 ovens, rather than a 900. At our old house we had a 900 oven and i found it didnt cook evenly. i also found it difficult when i was cooking two different things i always needed two different temps- Our brick color is vic blue and mist cheers Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 371Oct 30, 2009 7:02 am I'm dying to see your pantry and laundry now! Good idea on the two ovens. I probably don't cook enough to warrant it but the other night I was making cakes all night for my son's birthday and also had to cook a roast. I was up all night. My first thought on the sink is that you'll hit your head so I hope you're short like me. I'm sure there is plenty of clearance. The overheads really make that area far more attractive. We moved our fridge onto that side so only have a small cupboard under a reduced window. Love your bricks!! Fi has moved in!! Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 372Oct 30, 2009 7:42 am Hi Brit, I had the same thought about the overhead cabinets ![]() Im looking forward to my pantry- ive got pull out draws, underneath bench top so all my stuff will be behind doors..... and ive got a lock on one of them so i can hide my goodies in them so they don't get pinched by my children ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() talk soon Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 373Oct 30, 2009 8:58 am Hey Brit, Definitely still on Cloud 9. If there were a cloud 10, we'd be on it ![]() ![]() Rosa, I just checked your blog...hey your feauture tiles are something else. I really like the slate look about them. They look similar to the stamped concrete look I wanted for the driveway. We however, went with exposed aggregate as its lesser maintenance. Rosa, you need to proclaim the name of your builder. They have done a fantastic job at record speed and I am sure other members contemplating building the buckingham would love to have them. Pleassseeee post more pics...the anticipation is excruciating ![]() Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 374Nov 09, 2009 5:31 pm Hi Everyone, thought i would keep everyone updated.... What an incrdible timeline...i think among all who have built the buckingham...your timeline has been the best so far ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am over the moon with our evap cooler...it is in one word A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I could have been fooled that we were having a hot week had i not ventured out to the front yard (landscaping underway). When you're indoors...the evap cooler makes you feel like you're in winter...mmmmm....very very nice...i am scared to see our electricity bill though. i have been told that evap cooling is economical...not sure if it still is as we have been running it 24/7... ![]() Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 376Nov 19, 2009 8:41 pm HI Everyone, we are moving in tomorrow HOORAYYY ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Our builders have done a magnificent job !!!!
