Handover in three weeks???? Annette you can always have one if you wish too just find a perfect spot for it. Hopefully, we can have handover in that span of time just wait for the letter of confirmation, it's hard to get too excited. Been to the house today they finished tiling and grouting all wet areas i think we've overdone with white but i love it looks very spacious and bright. Good luck with everything - hope they are doing a good job .... check that the grout and silicone are done properly ... ours was/is awful. Why is it hard to get too excited? Maybe need to guard ourselves for a big disappointment at the same time excited to be out of a shoe box and of course to be free from rent. Re: Building the Monaco By Dechellis / SA/ kitchen cabinets 173Mar 14, 2012 10:17 am Oh...that was quick! Looks like 900mm wide island, 600 with 300 overhang, which is what we're getting. Some posters think the island should be 1200 when its long but personally I prefer the 900mm. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Building the Monaco By Dechellis / SA/ kitchen cabinets 174Mar 14, 2012 1:19 pm Mclaren Looks great ... what tiles did you get for the floor?? Annette, ours is 600x600 CR6004 Polished Porcelain Rectified Tiles. I am not sure about the wax though as i checked 1 tile before they laid looks like there's no coating on it unless it is a very thin layer. We thought it was strange after paying so much money for them to be laid it was left up to us to find someone to do that job .. and it cost us $600. It now looks like there may be a problem with our tiles not being 1st Quality. Margie - take some pictures of the tile packaging if you can and pm me if you want to know more. Cheers Annette Its quite interesting as there is no details in the box just the Model number CR6004 I dont even know where is it made, i wonder if they repacked it due to some optical haze problems with porcelain tiles . i know that our wall tiles are made in spain as it is stated in the packaging As you can see in this photo its just plain brown box with a model number on the side Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Built the Monaco By Dechellis / SA https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=49855 Slab: 07/11/2011 Handover: 23/04/2012 Re: Building the Monaco By Dechellis / SA/ kitchen cabinets 179Mar 14, 2012 2:02 pm Doesn't sound right, apparently the boxes are supposed to have:- a manufacturer's name or trade mark, a work size, the country of origin, whether they are glazed or unglazed, rectified or whether they are modular or non modular, the mark of 1st quality, or the type of tile and reference to the conforming Standard if not, they do not comply with Standard requirements for 1st quality product. Funny you should mention optical haze because I think that's what we have (our tiles are QT6020) and I am in the process of trying to find out more. Our packaging doesn't comply either.
