We have desinged our house and want to build it ourselves (us do the labour). Does anyone know how much we would save doing this. It is a 30sq home. Costing a house is all dependent on the materials you use so very hard to know without knowing what they are. If you are going for a custom build you can roughly say anywhere from $10000- per sq to $20,000 per square...just depends on what its made of and how expensive your fittings are. You could get cheaper from a volume or smaller builder perhaps...best thing is to take your plans to a few builders and see what they say.
