Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Monument colourbond with black roof tiles? 2Jul 24, 2011 9:45 pm Hi Mooks, I have monument guttering with black roof tiles (monier Sambuca) and I think it looks great. I used a white fascia that really made a fresh clean line around the roofline. I personally felt that any colour on the fascia would ruin that line. I'm not sure that I would go a black garage door. that would be very hot to touch if the sun was on it for any period of time. Here's a pic of my place - still under construction but the top roof tiles have been done. http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af300/Eskay40/House%20Build/DSCF2128.jpg SK Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34120 Handover 23 Dec 11 Squatting 21 Dec 11 Fixed 12 Oct 11 Plastered 31 Aug 2011 Framed 7 June 2011 Site Start 7 Feb 2011 Land Titled 18 Jan 2010 Land Deposit 25 Jun 2009 Re: Monument colourbond with black roof tiles? 4Jul 25, 2011 12:35 am Not that I've noticed. My son says that with the sunlight the tiles have a slightly dark blue tinge to them but I can'see it. The guttering still looks black so I think my desired effect of a sharp, clean line is still achieved. We also are having the monument garage doors (three of them), also have black window frames. The monument looks ok, but if I had to choose again I would ask for them to get the black guttering, I think you have to special order it now. The colour is lighter than black and a slighly green tinge to it. Heres some pics. Our house is still being built so the garage doors are not on yet. We have auto openers on the garage so not too worried about them getting hot. http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x345/equineaffair/tilesgoiingon028.jpg http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x345/equineaffair/tilesgoiingon030.jpg Building NBG Buckingham 46 on Property in rural Victoria my Building Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46837 Re: Monument colourbond with black roof tiles? 6Jul 25, 2011 10:33 pm we have black bristile tiles and monument facia/gutters and garage door http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i262/darrell81/handover8thjuly2011001.jpg Re: Monument colourbond with black roof tiles? 7Jul 25, 2011 10:51 pm We also have Monument gutters and facia... with Bristile Charcoal roof tiles... http://i896.photobucket.com/albums/ac165/aaron4erin/FacadeLights2.jpg http://i896.photobucket.com/albums/ac165/aaron4erin/DSC_0496upload.jpg Cheers.
