Wow Ajd, love your ensuite! Tiles are fabulous and i can imagine that bath. So glad to hear that the issues are all being resolved and coming to an end. Just received a letter myself saying that PCI is 7th March with handover a week after that 13th (subject to change) but at least it is something. Will give us the weekend to get out of the old house which settles on the Monday 17th after the theoretical handover of the new house on the Friday.

I am going to go insane because the floors will need to be booked on that Monday and we will either need to move all the furniture again or have it stored over the weekend, Monday, Tuesday and find somewhere to farm out the kids and mum until the floors go in.

Hoping our wonderful SS can move it all forward just a few days in the interests of my sanity.

We finally found out today that my brother's home is still safe and sound!

Just wanted to ask a quick question to everyone currently building with PD.... Your Building Coordinator - how often do you hear from them and what is your exceptions from them, also what is your understanding of exactly what they are 'coordinating?'

When they're so proud of being the most professional in customer service, you would expect there's some sort of standard, apparently there isn't. It's all pot of luck. I consider myself not so lucky that my BC almost never given me updates. And my SS as terrific as he is, weekly updates would had been the icing. But hey at the end of the day, they do make great houses. That's all that matters. Stress in building is unavoidable. You'll get so used to it No major builder has the ability to overcome this which is why none of them really stands out.

I myself have been left in limbo, been told PCI may be in two weeks, but still no exact date.. Can't wait to send my landlord a notice to vacate...

Floorboards went in today and they look amazing!!!
1 week to PCI and I cant wait...we have had heaps of mistakes (inc yesterday) along the way and it has taken longer than it does for others (though less than the 34 weeks just) but in the grand scheme of life it has been a year long turnaround from decision to buy and build, and I think what I will take away from this experience is not that PD made mistakes but that I feel our SS has done his best to address them all and that on a whole it is a beautiful house that I cant wait to make a home out of - our 5 children will have space to play and it may not have the bells and whistles but it was spot on for layout.

I have finished organizing all the post handover jobs - blinds are booked for install, the 150sqm of concrete works are booked, the fenceline roller door is sorted, security doors - we even went today and bought the paint for garage floors and kids feature walls...am ready to go!

So happy for you Claire. Great attitude too, any build will have problems. We have had our share too but PD build the house and you build the home. Can't believe you are so organised. I have only just had agreement from all our neighbours to be able to book in the fences, we really need them when we move as we have a small dog. Still getting quotes for concrete and can't even decide on blinds or curtains.

This is really not good having to wait 19 times for trades people. That is a lot of time off work. Hope things improve for you because that bad experience may impact on how we as clients and potential future clients perceive the quality of the PD customer service. Hope you receive assistance soon.

That's terrible Lurgen. What sort of issues are they? Plumbing, Electrical or Structural?

Mostly cosmetic issues now, the big electrical and heating stuff was fixed a couple of months ago. One structural item has cropped up though, and some of these cosmetic items are a real pain to fix myself.

The hassle isn't so much the issues themselves, none of them are enough to make the house feel unfinished. It's mostly that I ran out of time off from work long ago so I'm now doing all this stuff as unpaid leave.

They built a really nice house, so it's a shame the little details let it down.
