Thank you to all for posting about your experiences with PD, it certainly makes for some interesting reading, and gives people like myself (our first experience at building) a bit of insight as to what we are in for.
We are building the Montague 21 with the 4th bedroom, extended kitchen & grand alfresco upgrade. Our tile appointment is on the 28th of this month and going straight to contract on the 30th (no color appointment as yet).
I am really interested to know what color scheme's people have used in their kitchen's especially. I am trying my hardest to stick with Cat 1 choice's as I have a very limited budget.
Hi Country Lifestyle - welcome on board!
We have chosen polar white kitchen cupboard doors and are having the shaker profile. To have a profile on the doors there is no extra charge - the extra charge is for the finish you select. We upgraded to have a glass splash back, but to tell you the truth, I'd have been quite content to have white tiles laid brick bond (subway style) but hubby wanted the glass splash back and he didn't ask for much so I let him

We chose a category one caesar stone (but now you choose essa stone and there was two essa stones we liked - piazza a nice grey and there was one there like caesar stone's osprey but I cant remember the name) we decided that we wouldn't even look at the other categories in the stone as we knew we'd be tempted. We upgraded to a waterfall bench and took the kitchen promotion that was on offer at the time.
Again at our tile appointment we didn't look at the upgrade tiles for the floor (although it was hard not to notice them), but we did upgrade the splash back tiles for the bathrooms.
I'd recommend taking pictures of what you like into your colours appointment to help guide you and your consultant. Have fun!
