Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Porter Davis homes 7742Jul 27, 2013 9:33 pm Went to hopetourn today and also to the nearby national tiles and wasn't impressed at all with PD's range of tiles. We didn't actually get a chance to speak to any of the consultants at national tiles, but we didn't particularly like any of the tiles. Does anyone know if we can source our own tiles and install after handover by someone else (if PD won't do it?). Re: Porter Davis homes 7743Jul 28, 2013 11:00 am 14 weeks in from Site Start and now at Fixing stage! Great to see the inside taking shape. Can't wait to see the paint and tiles over the next couple of weeks - all that stress of colour selections, get to see it taking shape inside. We have a very efficient SS - big thanks to him. Re: Porter Davis homes 7745Jul 28, 2013 4:16 pm happystarz Went to hopetourn today and also to the nearby national tiles and wasn't impressed at all with PD's range of tiles. We didn't actually get a chance to speak to any of the consultants at national tiles, but we didn't particularly like any of the tiles. Does anyone know if we can source our own tiles and install after handover by someone else (if PD won't do it?). we were there too yesterday. i can totally understand your frustration. there are very limited things on display, and most of girls have no idea at Hopetoun. every time we asked questions, received a different answer. one told us very first time that "Pearl Round Counter basin" is standard for lifestyle powder room. and apperntly it comes with bath tub kind of tap from the wall not sure if its true, but hard to absorb this info. can someone pls confirm? thanks. few girls told us at hopetoun that they don't know prices for entrance door upgrade large handle, and upgrade dead bolts. but then they know prices for some other handles. how is it possible to know prices of half of the products and not the rest on same display board. both PD girls at National Tiles were hopeless yesterday. not sure they had a rough night or what. They were keep telling everyone for every question that you will find out during appointment. standard tiles were all mixed up with others, and they kept telling us this is not standard, and someone must have put it in wrong area. give me a break you two are not doing anything, at least move your bum and re-arrange tiles so it wont create any confusion for visitors. If customers will have to wait till appointment to get answers then why they should bother to visit national tiles centre on saturday? and why PD should pay these two girls? they were just making every other person frustrated.
