That is very disappointing, sorry it hasn't worked out for you. In the end though, you are spending the most money you ever will and want to make sure it is what you want. Good luck.

Thanks Helen, but it's ok. I would have liked my SC to ask me what could he done to get things back on track, and well honestly, I guess I could have been asked in here also as I've mentioned it a few times.

But yes, I feel it should be reiterated to PD that Lifestyle customers want more upgrade choices, especially if items are able to go in Lifestyle displays.

Thanks Helen, I really appreciate your response, I sense your sincerity, and if I had of received half of your concern from my SC I would have stayed. It's really sad, I had the highest regard for PD, you guys have stunning displays! I really hope you guys can work on giving all your customers more options and create better outcomes for both yourselves and clients.
A new, state of the art selection centre wouldn't go astray either

Sorry, I don't know the length. All I know is that it is the standard bath that comes with Access/Prestige homes, it wasn't in the Lifestyle selection range. I too was not happy with the square bath and I certainly wasn't happy with the upgrade options as they were all spa baths and we won't use a spa bath in the main bathroom.

I'm sorry you feel frustrated, it certainly wasn't my intention to cause any issues or frustration here, I was just excited at the fact I could get a different bath! I know it can be done, as Skye02 who is building the same house as us also requested this bath as she didn't like the Lifestyle options either. I guess maybe you just need to push a little, as a lot of the BC's are just working to a set of rules, so it really isn't their decision to make I imagine! They may just have to go to the 'higher powers' to see what can be done.

Hey there I've updated the blog in case anyone's interested. For those who don't want to see pics, long story short, the floorboards have been installed, all painting done (as far as I can tell), tiles have started getting taken down and the bathroom/ensuite re-waterproofed, electrical work all done I think, and all of our fencing/portaloo/rubbish has been taken away. Meeting tiler and Construction Manager (SS's boss) on site later this week to talk about where to from here.

We're going to be inside the house on Thursday so will make sure we take some photos for you then. Probably better if they're taken from inside since the ones through the windows are all a bit different depending on how the light hit the window!

We have hit a big sticking point which at the moment may result with us pulling the pin. We are building at Matilda's field which will be a neighbourhood of PD houses. PD are responsible for land and construction. Land settlement was due in July. Yesterday we wer advised via our solicitor that settlement is now due in October. So I ring my BC...

BC has no idea settlement has been delayed. I ask whether we will be stung for extra cost to keep the contract price we currently have. She is unable to get a clear answer and says she will call me back on Monday. I ask whether we are able to get a reason and was told to ring the land sales office.

Ring person who did our land contract. First question was, why the delay. The answer- because of the heavy rain this week it has been delayed. I ask why a few days of rain equals a 3 mont delay. I am told she is not a construction specialist. I then question the decision not to contact purchasers, I feel this is not good customer service as we only know when settlement may be, no reason for the delay and no anticipated start date. She said it was her call and it was to ensure everyone is on the same page ... Final question is when will our build start now. I was told to ring the BC, I explain they didn't even know about the delay, she looks at computer but unable to give a response. Will ring me back but never did.

I understand delays but the answers are shady at best. The lack of direct communication from PD is very poor and the lack of honesty is making us question whether we cut our losses. The fact that nobody can even tell me when the build will begin I find ridiculous. Very unprofessional and very poor customer service. I fail to see the Matilda's field advantage at this point.
