Our little guy finishes up at his current childcare centre this Friday, and starts at his new one on Monday, but come Monday we'll still be living over an hour away from the new centre! Trying to figure out annual leave to fit around childcare (and orientation) and moving has my head is constantly in a spin! Re: Porter Davis homes 6272Oct 17, 2012 9:14 am captainsideburns, what house are you building? Sorry if you've mentioned it, but I just went all stalker on your posts 'cause I was curious and I couldn't see if you've told us! Re: Porter Davis homes 6273Oct 17, 2012 7:24 pm Hey monkeypants My wife is cinderella. We are building the chadwick. Not sure what our blog is 2 Re: Porter Davis homes 6274Oct 17, 2012 7:48 pm ![]() ![]() Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum but have been lurking for quite some time. I'm waiting for my land to title at Berwick Waters Estate, Clyde North, and I've got a quite for PD to build the Randwick 24. Does anyone know of any blogs or threads for this house? I can't seem to find any. I just wanted to add I'm having the same issue with the wall niche, although at least the sales girl informed me straight up that I could only have one in the en suit but none in the bathroom. She said it was because one side had pipes running along it and the other side was an external wall. I feel they could make it if they really wanted to, they just choose to not to. They want everything as standard so they can get in and get out. I asked for a linen cupboard in the laundry...noooo she says you can not have a linen cupboard in the laundry, that's too custom for us to do we don't do that! Hi, am building the randwick with PD and I do have niche in both the ensuite and the bathroom. Don't look at my blog as I have failed to update them in a long time and presently we are close to PCI. There is a display in selandra rise which shows niche. Good luck. Spoke to PD today, she said it must have been offered to you by mistake and that they would have had to honer their offer, but I can NOT get it, no ifs no buts! What did you do about your walk in pantry, is all your pantry items on display because she said that we couldn't get a door? I'm following your blog, I love this stage where big things are happening! Been looking at building with Porter Davis for a while - and we are now looking at a Prestige design. Am I correct that carpeting is not included in the prestige 'spring stimulus' promotion (but it is with the Lifestyle and Access)? I noticed that there are a lot of things taken out of this years promotion as opposed to the summer promotions, which is very disappointing. I just can't comprehend how a prestige house would not have carpet included and the others do - weird. Re: Porter Davis homes 6277Oct 18, 2012 5:04 pm ![]() Hi - I have a quick question... I noticed that there are a lot of things taken out of this years promotion as opposed to the summer promotions, which is very disappointing. I just can't comprehend how a prestige house would not have carpet included and the others do - weird. Before you get too disappointed, its also worth considering that there are several different classes of carpet available (or at least there was when we did selections) usually the promo inclusions will only include the base range which may or may not be to your taste. I know it wasn't to ours. So you may well be up for "paying" for carpet as an upgrade in any case. Each promo package should be looked at individually as to the value it represents over the base inclusions as they vary between Lifestyle/Access/Prestige. I am more so disappointed with the complete exclusion of certain parts of the promotions which haven't been replaced (for instance, the previous access promotion included landscaping, driveway and footpath - which is now completely gone) - anyway, just me whinging. I know you get what you pay for generally! Re: Porter Davis homes 6279Oct 18, 2012 5:11 pm ![]() Yes - total understand that. I know you get what you pay for generally! In all honesty, I personally wouldn't want landscaping, driveway and footpath included. Have a look at any of the "turn-key" package houses from ANY of the major builders and you'll see the same cookie cutter landscaping and basic coloured concrete. You're house should reflect you, its one of the (few) perks of building.
