Everyone was very responsive which was great.
I emailed my BC and she has supplied the SS mobile number and was going to follow up with him today.

Nope! Got a call today from our BC letting me know that the SS has delayed slab pour from the 12th to the 19th due to today's weather I must have a record of some sort, weather delay after 1 day!

Not worried, it gives the slab plenty of time to cure

Probably not a bad thing...
I was worried that the framing would sit in the elements for the month (XMAS Break) which I didnt want..
As for mine - At the start I was crossing my fingers that the roof and wrapping is on before XMAS - would be surprised if it wasnt now...

I agree Alpal, I don't want it all just sitting there unwrapped. Probably makes no difference building wise but it makes me feel better. I bet we end up with frames delivered just sitting there for a month instead!
Glad yours is motoring along.

Went to look at the block on the way home from work tonight (as always), and they have put up the frames for the slab. Also the reo and waffle pods have been delivered. Plumbing was done Monday, the final shaping under the slab and gravel was done yesterday.

Hopefully we have a slab poured soon. It was meant to be today but I guess it wasn't to be, due to the cr@ppy weather.

We found the plumbers drawings next to the bin cage, so we took them :sh:

Quite interesting.

Went to look at the block on the way home from work tonight (as always), and they have put up the frames for the slab. Also the reo and waffle pods have been delivered. Plumbing was done Monday, the final shaping under the slab and gravel was done yesterday.

Hopefully we have a slab poured soon. It was meant to be today but I guess it wasn't to be, due to the cr@ppy weather.

It just shows the measurements they work off, and where the services come in off the road. It is just interesting to see how they translate the drawings into reality. I am a scientist so I love to know exactly how things work !

We signed off on our final plans today, unfortunately missed being handed over to site due to the bank being slow but should happen next Friday. They are planning on getting the slab done before the Xmas break.
Our new BC is incredibly organized, such a massive improvement over our last one.

Ive updated the blog with a pic..

Also the windows have been delivered, after tapping them (gently) they dont feel double glazed - Has anyone else have double glazed windows and how can I tell?

We are hoping for a roof by Xmas, but I think we will be lucky to have fascia and gutters.

Looking fabulous! Not sure how I haven't seen your blog before??? Just checked it out, your block is amazing! Looks like you'll have a gorgeous view out the back. If I'd read it earlier I would have known how big piers are, I had no idea they were so big til I saw ours!

Agree with the way they treat the materials - given the rework you think they would be more careful. I have a meeting with the SS on Tuesday this will be first topic of discussion. Appreciate the advice re windows - will post on the windows forum and see if Ed replies.

The view out the back is quite nice, we sit towards the bottom of the valley and have views of the entire other side of the valley. In terms of the piers, you'll find it will fly now the piers are in. Its hard to believe 4-5 weeks ago they were just starting on mine.

No worries Alpal, I think I've trailed through this whole forum all in the name of "research" even when I have no intention of doing some things :lol:

Slab pour was orginally set for the 12th but we had rain on the second day of build which has pushed us back to the 19th. I'd say that will mean slab will be left to dry over Christmas and frame will begin when they get back. There's plenty of work for them before the final pour so not worried about how long it takes.

Funny we have no tap or electricity yet which I've notice lots of people get before site start.

Just about to upload some pics of our block and our outlook on my thread.....It's taken me awhile to do the whole photo thing but I'm getting myself sorted ::dizzy::
