Pictures taken this morning. Tiling is being laid at the moment. All looking good. Garage door is in. Everything is painted, may need to redo bits and pieces here and there. Render is painted....

I agree with JLD, your pictures are great! I love the colours you have chosen for your façade. You should bring up those faults with your SS. Do you have any plans for your front garden yet? Cheers, Ebony

Eli-kay your entrance looks amazing actually all of it does. Cant wait to see it finsihed. What colour is youjr render at the front? I'm trying to get an idea of what ours will look like?! lol

Render colour is Dulux Flood Mud which is the darker colour you see and the lighter colour is Dulux Camel Train

At this stage we are thinking of putting an ornamental pear tree in front of the far window, and maybe a silver birch or a japanese maple in front of the middle window. Not 100% sure at this stage. May have to do some drive bys around a few estates to get ideas. But we will definitely have lawn and plants of some sort in the front with the exposed aggregate concrete for the driveway and path leading up to the front door.

I am not sure if PCI will be done this side of Xmas as we have told our SS we want to be in after Xmas. We expect to be all done by end of January to mid Feb. There still alot to do from what I can see.

Here is our garage. I would prefer all brick because I know the walls will mark etc.... but this is how PD do it. Maybe if you are going to have a shed, make it a big enough so you can store alot more things in there and try and keep items in the garage to a minimum. e.g. no bikes

BUILDING ON BOUNDARY - S TYPE GUTTERING

Hello All,

Has anyone here built on a boundary and if so was a "S-Type" guttering system used? If so, would you be kind enough to post the guttering / garage detail as shown on your drawings as I'm trying to understand what it looks like.

I have s type guttering.. basiically the gutter is in line with the brickwork.. so it sits on top. I dont have a photo to show.. you might be able to see it in some of my posts in the thread.,

I had a look at your blogspot and your home is coming along beautifully. Such and exciting time because seeing it all on a piece of paper and samples of colours in your hands it's amazing how it all looks when you put it all together. We are also having Spotted Gum timber floors. We loved the Spotted Gum flooring used in the Ivanhoe in Williams Landing. We have had a few quotes so far but still looking. Out of all the timber floors we were told by many that Spotted Gum was the most hard wearing. With 4 kids running around we're going to need it.

Would it be too much trouble to ask you for the contact details of your guy.

A few months back we went thru some displays and I saw this garden from the Alfresco. The trees at the back are ornamental pears and I fell in love with it. Currently I have a japanese maple in my front yard it is so beautiful and green and when autumn comes the leaves turn red before they fall off for the winter. Just amazing colours.

This is my current home (that I sold last week), the japanese maple is in the middle of the hedges. On the right is a pittosporum silver sheen. We will most likey use some pitosporums to cover the neighbours big grey wall that we see from our backyard (pic further below)
