Thanks for this, I will update my blog - no one at WOS or PD offered us this option, they only told me about colour tech if I wanted the Shaker profile with V-Line, maybe its because I liked the V-line option and that is not in the Formwrap options, only the other style of Shanker.

It's so interesting, isn't it? We were told by our Kitchen Culture consultant at our WOS appointment that if we liked the profile doors then we had to get Colourtech. Formwrap was never mentioned.

Update: So I just got off the phone with Dulux who have advised me if the colours don't match now they will never match. They said the product should not have faded that dramatically in a few months and that even then both shades, if they slowly fade over time, will both be fading at the same rate so colour two will never catch up to colour one. They suggested a product called Acrashield (which is 6 times thicker than paint) be applied to the whole house. Acrashield is a membrain that comes in the colour of your choice, so in this instance a Timeless Grey coating over both render colours would blend them in to match each other. I will forward this information to my site supervisor now. Basically I will not be taking the keys until this issue is rectified.

Our site supervisor did contact the renderers to come back and do it. They were the ones that said it should eventually fade tot he same colour. He had asked them for a letter in writing on their letterhead so that he had something to use against them in 6 months time. So he was trying to get it done for us. But now with this extra info he can go back to them and have more ammunition to get them back in now. You are right in that once the fences and landscaping happen it will be much harder to render down the track.

When they called on the Friday I had to ring them on Monday with a decision. Over the weekend my husband and I agreed that we did not want the return air in our laundry. I also didn't want the door opening into the living area unless it would go back to the wall when open (wider angle). Sunday night I emailed advising we do not want the laundry option and our first preference was to have the return air in the ceiling. If they could not put the return air in the ceiling I asked them to send me the manufacturers guidelines of where to position the return air so we could investigate other options. They thanked me for my email and said it would be passed to the relevant department to assist. I haven't heard anything since.

I assume since we haven't signed any Building Variation approving the laundry change they should be building my house to the current plans.

Site supervisor's phone is going straight to message bank and he doesn't return text messages.

Tried to call Building Co-ordinator and that went straight to message bank so I dropped her an email and got a response saying she's on holidays with no access to emails.

What's my next steps? I've got an invoice waiting to be paid but Porter Davis are just building over the top of a problem which needs to be rectified otherwise part of the render/flooring will need to be destroyed.

Ring the accounts department and state you can't pay the invoice without being contacted by your Site Supervisor or his supervisor. That might get them to call you!

My site supervisor got back to me this morning about the poo situation.
