We are the same. Almost finished and then tools down over Christmas. SS thinks they will be finished by the end of January. - View my blog at www.waldorfgrangebuild.wordpress.com Re: Porter Davis homes 15805Nov 21, 2017 7:12 pm Been away all last week on business in Asia and being a gentleman racer in my beloved Jag. Great to see scafholding down and plastering finished. This week stairs will go in and garage roof will go on. Both I and my wife who has been sending me updates love the colour of the render we choose. Not too outlandish and it will let our natural garden shine. I haven’t heard anything about lock up yet. Although I probably won’t until I receive an invoice for it. I don't think they normally do any of the wiring, plumbing etc before they have the Hebel/bricks on and the place can be locked up, otherwise it's all exposed to the elements and more likely to be stolen as well presumably. So plaster comes after lock up is my understanding, and it's the same in the Darbecca inspection schedule. The wiring and plumbing has also been done and the insulation. They’ve really gotten a lot done in the past few weeks. There is an issue with our laundry sink as the drain is in the wrong place. I am not sure how they are going to rectify it. I’m waiting for a call from our SS. He has know about it for weeks but it still hasn’t been fixed. Great news on getting a lot of work done on the house in any case, have you got a rough idea of when it will all be finished? That looks like a long way to move the drain, good luck with it! Thanks. Wow that is terrible about the insurance! I guess ideally proof of insurance should be provided prior to first deposit but I'd imagine they would refuse to be out of… 17 9760 There isn't any need to. As I wrote previously, there isn't a set term, there is just commencement based on earlier of contract signing or building permit issue and… 24 9405 Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 2825 ![]() |
