Anyone here had to deal with Cardinia Council?? Yes.... ![]() Re: Porter Davis homes 14522Mar 30, 2017 6:38 am ![]() ![]() Our says 196 includes all weekends, wet days allowance, tradies RDO's, public holidays and 28 days for Christmas. We shouldn't go anywhere near Christmas so really it's 168 days. Depending on when exactly our land titles (supposed to be May) and how long it takes to get developer approval, council approval etc we may end up going over Christmas, which would basically add another month on. That's assuming that we get a fairly quick site start, but PD have given themselves until September which may well mean that we end up going into 2018. We've assumed that will be the case, but it would be great if we can get in there this year instead. Although having said that we aren't even up to contract yet and there is plenty of other stuff that will need to be done, so next year does seem more likely. Sounds like definitely next year based on your land titles date. Our land titled in September and we just had site cut last week. I'm hopeful that we don't have anything like the delays that you did with developer and council approval so it won't take as long, but yes realistically it will probably be next year before we are in there. We've figured on it likely being about February/March, for it to be this year we'd have to have pretty much everything go right with title in May, developer and council approval in early June, and then PD starting pretty much straight away which seems unlikely, although it is possible I suppose. I'm pretty sure construction has finished on our stage of the development so presumably they are just getting things all sorted with the titles office so a May/June title should be about right. Re: Porter Davis homes 14527Mar 30, 2017 3:02 pm ![]() Our house took 150 days to build from them turning soil to handover. Sounds about right going by what our contract says. Re: Porter Davis homes 14528Mar 30, 2017 4:15 pm ![]() Which is really good! It says 98 days actual build days. In an ideal world that could be true. If everything is 100% bang on at each and every stage with no hiccups then this would be an absolute miracle. Anymore updates? i really worry that you are still to even reach council with build due to start next month. I hope you have received an update anyway. Re: Porter Davis homes 14529Mar 30, 2017 4:17 pm Still no further but to no fault of PD. CBA have been a nightmare to deal with. Re: Porter Davis homes 14533Mar 30, 2017 4:26 pm We had our PCI again yesterday, and while there were a few things to finish off we FINALLY have a handover date. Being next friday!! Ahhhh i see, so this is funds needed for PD to submit to council? I actually cant even remember that far back for deposits payable etc. I cant even remember paying before council approval, apart from the tender one. Surely they have completed your second soil though and have your contract all ready for final signoff. I would be pestering them for an update so you can also finalize those costs and be sure there is nothing else coming. It's more the fact then it's held up completing the demo part which we thought was finished! It's been a pain from the start but I've decided not to stress about it anymore and just go with the flow. It's not worth the stress at the moment. We will get there eventually. Re: Porter Davis homes 14537Mar 30, 2017 4:52 pm ![]() Long time coming Liz! Must feel good to finally have an end date! And trust me when you start seeing things progress on site you cant help getting your hopes up. If i've learnt anything from this process and forum its just to ignore any of PD's timelines and dates becasue it almost guaranteed to blow out causing somewhat disappointment. And yes you will defiantly get there eventually. I just truly hope they pick up their game and people start getting the service they deserve.
