Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Porter Davis homes 12781May 24, 2016 9:57 am Our site costs went from $45k to over $100k as first tender due to lack of due diligence... hence we're not building with PD anymore Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Porter Davis homes 12782May 24, 2016 10:20 am ![]() For those doing a Kdr with Porter Davis - did you find site costs increased much from the initial quote? Thanks Our site costs were pretty close to to the sales person's estimate (around 45K for P class soil, a slightly sloping block, cut and fill, lots of piles). Then we got 3K back after we signed the contract. So we're not waking up in our new house on my birthday but LOOK WHAT WE HAAAAAVVVVEEEE! I called our site supervisor & he was actually down there so sent me a photo & saved me the trip. It's a bit hard to tell with the lighting in the photo but they're in and that's all I care about. Now on to PCI on Monday! Our SS said to estimate 2 weeks but will depend on what they have to fix I guess. Everything's coming together though, my boss has offered us a free stay for two weeks past our box hill settlement (which should be more than enough) to bridge the gap there in return for staying over & doing night manager for a week in Nov so we're very grateful for that. Booked movers in for the 2nd to take stuff down to our storage unit, at least now all the stuff to go into the new house will be in one place.
