Our site costs went from $45k to over $100k as first tender due to lack of due diligence... hence we're not building with PD anymore

Thanks Our site costs were pretty close to to the sales person's estimate (around 45K for P class soil, a slightly sloping block, cut and fill, lots of piles). Then we got 3K back after we signed the contract. Re: Porter Davis homes 12783May 24, 2016 11:26 am WOW just got off the phone to my BC to finally claritfy the contract date... it is actually 196 days (including public holidays and weekend/same as I HIA contract) which brings us to 17th of August which is 2 days before we go to Thailand! Our SS said to estimate 2 weeks but will depend on what they have to fix I guess. Everything's coming together though, my boss has offered us a free stay for two weeks past our box hill settlement (which should be more than enough) to bridge the gap there in return for staying over & doing night manager for a week in Nov so we're very grateful for that. Booked movers in for the 2nd to take stuff down to our storage unit, at least now all the stuff to go into the new house will be in one place. I guess ideally proof of insurance should be provided prior to first deposit but I'd imagine they would refuse to be out of… 17 9317 There isn't any need to.
