Your SS will be able to tell you what your timeframes will be in regards to painting. Better to ask them because they have deadlines to meet. Usually after plaster comes cabinetry, baths, etc. Final touch ups is usually flooring then painting etc. For confirmation ask your SS for clarification. The following page in the contract says that the progress payments will be changed. For 95% of the houses you don't need to pay the changed progress payments (or in other words, front-loaded PP). Just say no and the BC's manager can do a Post Contract Variation to change it back. we asked this at tender, and the fact that we asked if this was standard and they said yes, how were we to really knoe any different? im unsure how else we could have avoided this? just another inconsistancy. ill wait till i get an explanation from our 'fill in' BC whos hopeless.... and then go from there. Thanks SHADOW LINE VS NO SHADOW LINE 12667May 09, 2016 5:41 pm help.... Has anyone had any experience with shadow line and finger pulls in their kitchen? Its seems the information is very conflicting for two of us, and we are both being told two different answers. One is being told that if you have shadowline you cant have finger pulls.. and if you have shadowline you need handles. Has anyone been told either of these. And have any photos? Thanks It's explained in the contract and you even sign the page stating that you have read and you understand about the fact that progress payments shouldn't change. I'm not quite sure what you mean by finger pulls but go back a few pages - maybe 10 or so - you'll see my post with our shadowline issues. Ours have no handles, so I guess we do have finger pulls but we've just never described it as that. Re: Porter Davis homes 12674May 11, 2016 6:05 pm Had a catch up phone call with the site supervisor today & there's a chance our benches & cabinet fix may be in on Friday! And PCI Friday next week. Only thing is he likes to budget two weeks after that for any fixes which now makes it very tight for settlement for our current place. Which was one reason the delay on the benches was freaking us out. At least things are going again and he's pushing to get it done as fast as possible.
