Blog: http://prestigebuild.blogspot.com.au Re: Porter Davis homes 10254Aug 25, 2014 1:09 pm ![]() ![]() ![]() I am not happy with porter at all! My partner and I were hoping to build our first home with Porter but as far as …. even started yet. I think it's ridiculous it's Aug and instead of your promised site start, you haven't even had tender! I'd ask for my $1000 deposit back. Or just cut your loses and consider yourself lucky it was only $1k and not something like $20k @contract stage. it is ridiculous! it so heartbreaking too. we still have to decide whether we still want to go with Porter or not. We both had our heart set on that house for so long so it's hard to just turn around and say we are going elsewhere, but if this doesn't get resolved soon, we will ask for our deposit back and try again somewhere else. I hope Joanne sees this and can help. I just wish they would get their butts moving and do their job so it can get underway. I'm shattered. Not happy Porter Davis. Hi Kateebee, hopefully now you have your tender book all can progress smoothly. Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Regards, Joanne. Porter Davis Homes Questions? I had imagined the PD standard Prestige semi-frameless screen to be like the 2nd photo you posted. Frames on the top and bottom and no frames at all on the vertical aspects. Mine has frame everywhere except one side of the shower door and the adjacent piece of glass. On the Stegbar website, this same shower screen is under the category of framed so when I was at colors contract I didn't clarify because I assumed my shower screen would like one of the Stegbar semi-frameless screens which I would have been more than happy with. Perhaps PD should re-do their list of standard inclusions to state that Porter Davis semi-frameless = Stegbar framed shower screen.... Very misleading to refer to it as semi-frameless.
