Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Porter Davis homes 16641Mar 11, 2018 8:53 am nikil Does anyone happen to know how many bricks are in each pallet of bricks? We have some left over and I'm trying to work out how many there is and decide if it's worth keeping them or not. Our SS has asked if we want to keep them. Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Porter Davis homes 16642Mar 11, 2018 8:56 am We can't think of anything we will use them for, but our SS told us we should sell them if we don't need them. You may end up using them for garden bed or retaining wall? Re: Porter Davis homes 16645Mar 12, 2018 11:41 am We are having our PCI on Wednesday and I am after some advice on two items. I’m unsure if I should raise this with our BC / SS should I just let it go? Hubby said he doesn’t really mind. 1. Keeping the facade free of downpipes makes it look much better. In regards to the eaves I wouldn't raise that one if there are no eaves on the garage on the drawing. I think eaves to garage could look strange as bottom floor render on the facade is nice and flush and I think it ties in. If it is then they can't put the downpipes on the side of the garage is it would then be inside your neighbours property. Re: Porter Davis homes 16650Mar 13, 2018 6:06 am Someone left a door open Friday so we managed to get in for a look, we were very happy with everything and there was blue stickers everywhere. I was pleased about this as it meant the manager was thorough. Mostly paintwork. The painters were back yesterday so hopefully they did a good job. Tilers are back today as we had issues with some tiles. Our PCI is booked for 1.30 tomorrow. I noticed they have not added a PowerPoint to our island. I’m thinking this may not be a very easy thing to rectify at this stage. We also have colourtech cabinetry so I don’t think they can just cut a hole in the panel to add the PowerPoint. I can’t see them being able to do it without removing the whole island? I will call the council next week. Appreciate any suggestions. Sounds exciting.. we are waiting for our file to be handed over to construction.. Hopefully someone will answer your questions... I know pretty much nothing about that sort of stuff sorry, definitely something to bring up with your SS though. Building a Kew 28 with Porter Davis Re: Porter Davis homes 16654Mar 13, 2018 8:48 am Yes I'll raise it with him tomorrow. If that's the only problem I'll be happy. There is some repair required to the render as they damaged it when they replaced the down pipes but the SS is already organising for this to be fixed. The independent inspector found some issues that should have been rectified by now. I really just can't wait to get in. There is power to the dishwasher on the other side of the island, but I'm not sure if they could run that across without moving the whole island. If it's a case that it is a very difficult job, what do you guys suggest we do? Make them do it and delay handover or seek some sort of compensation for not doing it? The permit we got for demo covered both the knockdown and the build, so we got them to remove it at contract. Saved $223 or whatever it was. We'll get the bond back after the build.
