Hope not too many defects for you. The renderers show me once it's dry it will be all the same. I don't share our site supervisors confidence in the reading Ace of a house and I'm sure there's a number of items get to be fixed. see more at hoffmangoldwithporterdavis.wordpress.com Re: Porter Davis homes 16483Feb 26, 2018 8:03 am For anyone thats interested in Corinthian pivot door pricing. Please note, these are sourced from the 2015 catalogue, so no doubt are more expensive now. He indicated the PCI end of March. I think we'll have it when we have it. Re: Porter Davis homes 16486Feb 26, 2018 10:41 am how long does it take for the porter davis to do the soil testing once the land has titled? we badly want to know how much its gonna cost us post the soil test as they haven't fixed the site costs yet. Re: Porter Davis homes 16487Feb 26, 2018 10:45 am We didn't get our site costs confirmed until our tender appointment. We were quoted $50k in our sales quote, after the soil testing when we had our tender appointment they told us they were reduced to $45k Re: Porter Davis homes 16488Feb 26, 2018 10:47 am nikil We didn't get our site costs confirmed until our tender appointment. We were quoted $50k in our sales quote, after the soil testing when we had our tender appointment they told us they were reduced to $45k Niki, but our land wasn't titled and they gave us an estimated cost of $30K based on the engineering drawings. PD did a preliminary soil test for us before the land had titled, and then did the second test about a week or so after it titled in June by the looks of things. We'd had tender and contract a couple of months before that, so if there had been problems we would have been on the hook for things. As it turned out we actually got a building variation reducing our site costs in August, so two months after the final site test, this may have been related to us having to change the facade due to developer requirements (arghhhhhhhhhhh!) but I think it was mostly just that the site costs were just going to be lower. Not sure if that helps or not! Not sure if that helps or not! Sounds good.. In our case, they didn't have access to the land and provided us an estimate assuming the land was on a cliff with massive irregularities.. We feel like our land is pretty much flat, hope we get some money back from PD Re: Porter Davis homes 16491Feb 26, 2018 10:58 am Hopefully it gets reduced for you, Our initial quote was also based on drawings before they did any soil tests. I still can't understand why ours was so high, our block is totally flat, but apparently it's always more expensive when its a KDR. Yes Agree, sometimes it gets hard to validate the costs .. our BC seems to be more excited than us and will hopefully let us know the costs .. Re: Porter Davis homes 16494Feb 26, 2018 11:02 am You should be able to make NON Structural changes once you haven't already signed the contracts. Awesome, we are thinking of replacing the carpet with laminates in couple of rooms and add couple of lights as well Re: Porter Davis homes 16496Feb 26, 2018 11:07 am Ashik_09 Another question, if we get a credit on site cost, would we be able to change/add stuff before we finally sign the building contracts. Where are you up to in the process Ashik? Have you done tender, WoS, contract etc already or are those all coming up? Building a Kew 28 with Porter Davis Re: Porter Davis homes 16497Feb 26, 2018 11:12 am I forgot they have now changed the process, maybe check with your BC and she will confirm what you can change. All done.. back in Apr/May, .. have a post somewhere in this thread about my experience and stuff. We signed the contract back in May and have done around 10 changes already. Most of the changes were non-structural, but few were structure because they had messed it up. The land just titled few weeks ago.. so.. trying to understand how it works now Re: Porter Davis homes 16499Feb 26, 2018 11:27 am nikil I forgot they have now changed the process, maybe check with your BC and she will confirm what you can change. That's going to be an interesting discussion.. We were charged around $7K for N3 wind rating..
