Re: Porter Davis homes 1782May 16, 2011 1:17 am MelNRob General question for all those PD'ers out there as it's the weekend and can only talk to CSC tomorrow. Should the windows (awning/sliding) windows have locks on them or was this an upgradeable item? Our windows went in yesterday and had a squizz today and noticed there were not locks. For some reason i thought it was just as standard feature. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Cheers, M Hi Mel, Keyed locks to all windows were an extra $533.00 for us, so I hope they're not supposed to be included!! Re: Porter Davis homes 1783May 16, 2011 1:30 am MelNRob snoofie Hi guys! Does anyone happen to have pictures of the different Staircase Profiles? In particular Traditional Option 2 and Contemporary Option 2? Many thanks! Check out this one...these are what we are getting contemporary stair option 2 (but we are having walnut brown stain) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ M We are also having the 'Contemporary Stair option 2' which is the same tread and handrail as Mel's pic, but ours has 50x50 black powder coated steel posts with 11mm thick glass panels and stainless steel clamps. Yet they are both Contemporary Stair option 2? Hope the SS reads the fine print! mimi Re: Porter Davis homes 1785May 16, 2011 4:37 am No window locks here - had to re-read the selections list the other day as I thought they were standard too. We will look at popping them on the lower storey windows after handover, together with screen doors. Re: Porter Davis homes 1786May 16, 2011 10:00 am Mimi, we loved that staircase, but with the kids it wasnt practical. Pretty sure that the younger one would have been pushed through by the older one at some point if we did. Yours will look great!! Snoofie, we got window locks with our house. It was at the time, a part of the base inclusions if I remember correctly. Not sure why it dropped off! Good luck with sorting your staircase out. Re: Porter Davis homes 1788May 16, 2011 11:55 am Hi Mel, We went with the Platinum Promotion & for the window locks we had to pay extra. It was $500-550 according to my memory & all depends on the promotion which you have received... I think there's been a "whoopsie"! Ooooh a whoopsie..... good whoopsie?? or a bad whoopsie?? details! haha Mimi!! Well.... what I initially thought was a bad whoopsie has subsequently turned out to be a good whoopsie!! Ok, thanks to T who sent me an email with all of the stair options!! When we looked at the Waldorf at Williams Landing we didn't take to the way the carpet had a centre runner, we would have liked the treads fully carpeted. We didn't want timber treads as the house we live in now has timber treads and we dislike them intensely. They are slippery, I have slipped down them twice in two years, they are cold and hard. They look nice, but for us a We then saw the Marriott at Lyndhurst and loved the carpeted treads. At tender, we showed them a photo of the staircase and also checked the website and after a little searching we were told it was the Traditional Option 2. Turns out it is actually the Classic Option 2!! Insert Whoopsie here! Now after looking at the detailed pictures (below) I am growing to like the one we have... so a good whoopsie!!! Sometimes these things just turn out for the best!!
