Re: Porter Davis homes 12042Oct 21, 2015 7:46 pm Drew01 ChrisHeli Ozzieac Exciting day today with the drawings marked on the slab and the wood starting to be laid out. Http://dunedin31.wordpress.com So PD are using Plum Heating and Cooling now? Gawd I wish we could have used them... They're using Executive Heat and Cooling in the East... No I don't believe they use plumb we are doing cooling after handover so they gave us some additional advice on heating. Do they use executive heat and cooling in the west as well? Re: Porter Davis homes 12043Oct 22, 2015 9:51 am Question, if you go to WoS to browse before appointments you can't get prices can you? Re: Porter Davis homes 12044Oct 22, 2015 10:01 am emmyawards Question, if you go to WoS to browse before appointments you can't get prices can you? We did... Talk with your sales consultant about having one of the staff guide you through the process, as it's a bit daunting otherwise... We were there for 3 1/2 hours, and got accurate pricing for the changes/options we'd like, and Sarah was fantastic! Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Porter Davis homes 12045Oct 22, 2015 5:02 pm Has anyone had any issues with the insurance PD have for the build? Our bank (CBA) won't pay an instalment because the insurance PD has only covers the build if the "builder dies, becomes insolvent or disappears". The bank requires the insurance to cover the build if theft or damage occurs as well. The contract has this wording but the bank are saying PD are breaching the contract because the certificate of insurance doesn't state this???? We have been making progress payments up until now so we are extemely frustrated! Please help! Re: Porter Davis homes 12046Oct 28, 2015 9:02 pm Just want to ask if anybody has had their heating\cooling installed directly by the Heating company during build? If so how did it go through the build and how much did it save you? I've been informed PD allow this but not had confirmation yet. As we are building 2 storey I don't want to install after handover but getting it installed directly could save us much needed expense. Re: Porter Davis homes 12047Oct 28, 2015 9:33 pm I've been advised that you cannot have anything installed by your own contractor... I'd definitely recommend that you put a rubber underlay (we use 2mm @ $10/sq.m) under it. It deadens the noise of walking on it, and you do not get the annoying tick-tick-tick of people walking on it.
