Hey there Goodfoot, welcome to the forum.
I've completed and been in for several months now. I think with the promotions, the value to the consumer is usually the same. We we offered a "Complete" package 2 years ago with was later replaced by the "Simplicity" one, which was replaced by...etc I've see about 5 now...
We scrutinised the offers to see what was the best... but they ae what they are an really just change to capture a new audience or to jazz up their expected benefits.
They all offer generally the same value, one may may have $20K of inclusions and the home may have a $20K price reduction.
Others up to $40K of 'inclusions' buy you pay full price. I'm sure when you add it all up it's + or - about $5000, it just depends which package would be better suited to you needs. There are so many upgrades too, so this needs to be considered. Some things you don't want you wont get credit for, some you might. Depends which side the PD coins flips on on the day. And what PD offers as a free upgrade, others offer standard. It's all a mixed bag.
I guess also whatever offer is currently running as to what you get. It's only when you're on the cusp of a new promo that you may be able to choose, but the sales staff probably don't tell you (or know) about the new offers until they drop.
My only other advice is to just think about Prestige offers if that's who you go with. Prestige, Lifestyle and Access may as well be totally different companies - they have different rules, suppliers, processes, staff etc so dont think that way one works has ANY bearing on the other...
That said I did hear a rumour that Prestige and Lifestyle were merging under a single "PD" banner and that only "PA - Access" would be separate. If this is true, hopefully this will bring some efficiencies and some better pricing to the build process. It will be a very difference space from when there was PD P, PD L, PD Optima (when Places Homes merged in) PD A and PD SL...
Just PD (glitzy) and PD A (starter)...
good luck Goodfoot
