Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Porter Davis homes 17104Jul 12, 2018 9:17 am We have had most of the items on our 3 month inspection fixed. The guy who came out from PD was great. Concretefx have now ground and sealed the garage. They have done a amazing job on the house and who ever comes says the floors are great. There been great to work with. On the inside of the house, we are racing along, with the electrical fit off starting today. Pretty happy with that for just under 20 weeks. The outside is a whole other matter. We still have scaffolding up as they have not yet rendered the upstairs Hebel. After management intervention, they finally came out on Wednesday and completed the Hebel, but alas, they installed it incorrectly... grr. With additional parts of the slab to pour and brickwork still to be done, garage roof and fit out to do, the inside will be well and truly finished before the outside. I understand that Hebel Australia have a shortage of installers, but our scaffolding has now been up for 47 days. Surely that is a ridiculous amount of time to install one storey of Hebel, render and colour it. We'll get there, just venting our frustrations. After having a grizzle on Friday about the delays, I went to site this afternoon to find that a guy had been there and rendered the outside of the house today. Amazing. Nice to finally be making some forward progress on the outside of the house. Our front I'm thinking horizontal blades, in an offset rectangular pattern, but a single gate on our side driveway. It’s a white PVC Hamptons look. Can’t wait to see it installed. Re: Porter Davis homes 17111Jul 20, 2018 1:36 pm First fence panel test fit. Thanks Ours is booked in for the 30th so we will soon find out. Re: Porter Davis homes 17115Jul 20, 2018 8:16 pm Settlement today! 11 months late. Did you guys get a present on settlement in a black box with a ribbon? The guy bought it in last week but then they still had a few things to do but today he didn’t bring the box back in. We are just curious, not going to make an issue of it. We are so happy with the house (Plaza B) but honestly it’s ridiculous the way my husband had to project manage them to get them to meet standards. Thank goodness for Darbecca. Re: Porter Davis homes 17116Jul 21, 2018 3:45 am For those of you who upgraded from standard to boutique stacker door, do the boutique come with a keyed lock? The AL website says it’s as standard. The item on our contract doesn’t mention that it has a lock though. They haven’t been installed yet (are on site but I can’t access them). Hi there, the boutique stacker lock is keyed on the outside but not on the inside, it is a knob that you turn to lock/unlock Re: Porter Davis homes 17120Jul 21, 2018 12:05 pm Hi I should join this group. We are building the Madison 40 with master bedroom at front and Mayfair facade. Have had a few issues including our first site supervisor. Darbecca have been amazing. We are delayed by about two months. Month of nothing between slab and frame. It took two months to sign off frame. We are now at fixing stage. Have a great SS now. Hi there!
