I will call the council next week. Appreciate any suggestions. Re: Porter Davis homes 16639Mar 10, 2018 1:05 pm sinbox Hi @Brucefil, how much did the Odyssey system end up costing you to install? We have Colorbond roofing, sarking & Refrigerated cooling via PD. Planning to install ceiling fans throughout the house including all the rooms & living areas post handover. Trying to understand if it is still worthwhile going in for an air circulation system like Odyssey, or if the single whirlybird on the roof is good enough. I have seen solar powered whirlybirds for ~300$. I have spent a few hours late evenings on site over the past few weeks, and noticed that it does get quite warm in the void and rumpus areas of my house(west facing), but these are the only areas of the house where double glazing is not installed. I was hoping curtains/blinds and a fan in the rumpus area will be enough to cool it down, but wondering if I need add an air circulation system as well. Also, Would be keen to know how much of an impact it makes to air quality on the ground floor of your house (if it does any at all)? The main reason for us doing it are the enviromental benefits. Not having a dry upstairs due to air conditioning. We did nor get one to downstairs as there is a natural draft up the stairwell. It acts like a chimeney raising the hot air. We also for the same reason did not get between floor insulation. Our heater has 1 zone downstairs and 2 zones upstairs to control heating. One of our main purchases for heating and cooling efficiency is blockout honeycombe blinds on most windows. They act like controlble double glazing. see more at hoffmangoldwithporterdavis.wordpress.com Re: Porter Davis homes 16640Mar 11, 2018 7:41 am Does anyone happen to know how many bricks are in each pallet of bricks? We have some left over and I'm trying to work out how many there is and decide if it's worth keeping them or not. Our SS has asked if we want to keep them. Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12332 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74700 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
