Could this be the same for you? $11k is a very expensive upgrade. We are going for PD carpet for the convenience of having it laid on move in day and also in case there are any flooring issues it will be under their warranty. No chance of blaming an outside trade. Maybe I am not trusting enough no dont PD just give you the price on top of what the cat 1 would be (ie dont show the credit just the extra price they are charging you)? only place it shows us as getting a credit for stuff with the new price is if we go for anything cheaper. carper is just plain old solution dyed nylon too. Re: Porter Davis homes 13615Nov 04, 2016 8:19 am Waldorf_Grange_Build lizbf85 sunshine83 Ok thanks, we will give her one more chance (not that she knows that she's on her last chance!) then swap House is 100% demolished as of today! How soon did PD start once people's KDR where demolished? Depending what has been done so far i guess... We were told to knock down after everything was through council however still the permits to come. We knocked down around July and site start was around September. Permits i think it took about 4 weeks and the same for them to order all the materials. On a positive we started in Sept and its now November and we are already at lock up!!! We are building the Vancouver and is 31 squares. It hopefully wont be too long and youll be started Wow lock up already. They certainly seemed to make up for lost time. we kind of cant actually believe it.. to already see our kitchen in is just crazy.. def not complaining!!! maybe from now things wont look like much is happening. we are just devo that our super organised SS is leaving PD!! this part of the process defiantly made the nightmare beginning a little less memorable, now hes leaving given we set up with PD dec 2015 the whole process has taken forever! How soon did PD start once people's KDR where demolished? We demolished at the end of September, and it looks like we will be moving to site start in the next 2-3 weeks (Late November). Thankfully we organised the dispensation with the council on our own, so had it all approved prior to the tender and contract appointments. Our overall experience to date with PD has been very good. Although we got off on the wrong foot, our BC has gone over and above since, looking after our best interests. Let's hope this continues throughout the build. We have employed Darbecca to perform inspections at all the stages, just to ensure we have a smooth build. My wife and I both work long hours so it makes sense. Re: Porter Davis homes 13617Nov 04, 2016 12:38 pm sunshine83 @lizbf85 that's incredibly quick! I think ours was told will be 32 weeks. Currently 18 weeks pregnant so...maths isn't adding up well our contract stated 268 days!!!!! that almost 9 months so i have no idea where they get their days from Re: Porter Davis homes 13618Nov 04, 2016 11:55 pm yoyo72 inexp_user In our tender we have the full cost for the upgraded carpet and another line item for the credit for the cat 1 carpet. We just got our tender Doc and they charged us the full amount for the upgraded carpet and then the other carpet was credited back as a line item. Re: Porter Davis homes 13619Nov 05, 2016 7:02 pm Anyone been out to see the new Astor Grange 54? http://www.porterdavis.com.au/homes/pre ... r%20grange Re: Porter Davis homes 13620Nov 06, 2016 8:27 am It looks good, wouldn't suit our block and we like the guest suite at the front away from the noise of the kitchen and living area. I also prefer the kitchen looking straight through to the backyard especially as we have a very young family. I'd like to check it out though! If only we lived in Victoria Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12345 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74719 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
