Re: Porter Davis homes 9374Mar 29, 2014 8:31 am ![]() ![]() ma2531, your house is amazing. I think I remember seeing TBH made a comment on your blog from 2 years ago. ![]() Regarding the thermostats for the heating / cooling, I take it they are also controllers for the setting the temperature? They are specified as "dual Networker thermostats" in the contract. Also, my contract says "two zone controls". I think I've made a mistake assuming this means two zones per controller. ie 2 zones upstairs, and another separate 2 zones downstairs. Can anyone confirm? How does the system know the temperature of both zones if there is only one thermostat per floor? Hi Sliick 2 zones means only 2 actual sections and they are not heated separately. You can pick which is heated. For example - we have upstairs zoned separately from downstairs. So during the day I can heat downstairs (having upstairs off), then later I press a button to open all vents up with heat through the whole house, then when we go to bed, we can shut off downstairs just leaving the heating upstairs where all our bedrooms are. If you have 2 zones and your Master bed downstairs with other beds upstairs, you would want to ask for these to all be on the same zone. You can not select different temperatures in the different zones at the same time. Thanks M So the 2 zones just mean you can turn on/off heat, doesn't mean u can set up temperature separately, right? Btw, we have master bed downstairs and other bed upstairs, they have grouped in 1 zone, the rest of house are another zone. The thermostat is downstairs, hopefully it is the right setting Re: Porter Davis homes 9375Mar 29, 2014 9:59 am ![]() For anyone pass the colour selection stage A question regards the External Door lockset: Is the Glide L4 the only option for Nexion Vision external lockset ? can we choose other Lever, like Summit L1 , Saltbush L34 etc? thanks Here is a pick we took while we were doing our colour selection Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ May not be much of a help though just thought of sharing with anyone interested. So I left it on a bit longer and then heard dripping sounds below.... Rushed down to the kitchen and I had water streaming through an AC duct and a downlight fitting. Grrrr.......we had read horror stories like this before on other PD homes and clearly some of the PD plumbers are clearly not taking the necessary care. So now I have a wet ceiling in the kitchen, pendant lights that are potentially damaged, unable to turn on downlights in the kitchen due to uncertainty about damage, tiles that will need to be removed to get to where the leak is under the spa..... Really not happy with how this has turned out PD.....will post what happens after I contact New Home Care team on Monday given they're not available for a weekend. Hope they resolve it pronto for you. Your electricals are basically now unsafe.. not just your downlights! This means probably your whole house could essentially now be unsafe to live in. It should have picked up by builder's quality control. I know it happened to someone else in past. Next thing soggy ceiling plaster came off next day. May not happen in your case but don't be surprised if your ceiling will be down in next day or so. Remember water is there and making everything heavy by every minute. Hi there!
