I believe a few builders have pulled out due to the delays. Saying they are having difficulty getting the estate to provide the back haul that they told them they need for their fibre to work. I feel sorry for all of you involved it would be frustrating as hell to be stuck in the middle of all this, it does seem like compared to how fast all the other estates are moving along, this one seems to be struggling! I did hear that they failed the mains water pressure testing. That was a few weeks ago. I have emailed Jack Horton for an update but he's not replied, that was over a week ago too. I have plans to call him tomorrow. Also have you notice lot 312 has started the build already!!! Site is scraped and pipes in for the slab! Considering we haven't settled I find that a bit bizarre. Obviously someone is impatient!! Re: Building our first home in Worthington Estate, Pakenham 67May 28, 2012 9:21 pm How can they start without settling??? I'll believe it when I see it. 31/01/2011 - Deposit on land 09/03/2011 - Deposit on Builder (SJD Homes) Check out my blog for details: http://blestfirsthomebuild.blogspot.com.au/ Re: Building our first home in Worthington Estate, Pakenham 69May 30, 2012 8:35 pm Really? I hope so. I'm still going to ring Jack. We'll see if I get the same. I left a msg for him today but no return call yet. I will try again 2moro. Thanks for the update Blesta! Re: Building our first home in Worthington Estate, Pakenham 70May 31, 2012 9:40 pm Spoke with Jack today who confirmed George's info. Said one more test needs to be done which involves the water purity. Results 2moro and they expect to pass. Five days to hook up s2 to s3 for water and then back to council for compliance. Then 10 days max for titles and our 2 week notice of settlement. S/be by end June if not before. Hope it's all true!! Re: Building our first home in Worthington Estate, Pakenham 72Jun 15, 2012 10:34 pm winkle13 Apparently off to the titles office next week....or so George says. It always seems to be 'next week' 'next week' 'next week'....... Yeah we got the same stuff from George on Tuesday..believe it when I see the paperwork! 31/01/2011 - Deposit on land 09/03/2011 - Deposit on Builder (SJD Homes) Check out my blog for details: http://blestfirsthomebuild.blogspot.com.au/ Re: Building our first home in Worthington Estate, Pakenham 73Jun 23, 2012 6:19 pm Argh.. any news? Anyone know if we've titled? I spoke to the council I think was on Wednesday. They were waiting on confirmation of a payment before issuing compliance. In saying that they did say the developer was pushing and pushing to get this done. George last week said it would go to titles office this week just gone so I might give him a call tomorrow and see if it did happen. Will post again tomorrow night. I've got my fingers crossed we can get settled, built and in our new house by Christmas !! Re: Building our first home in Worthington Estate, Pakenham 75Jun 24, 2012 12:24 pm Hi All, I received an email from George Friday night which was a forward originally from Carolyn at Cardina Council. Statement of Compliance was issued by council on Friday morning. It is now at titles office. Mat. Re: Building our first home in Worthington Estate, Pakenham 77Jul 01, 2012 6:49 pm Hi all, Surely we must be getting close now! 10 days at titles office - is that right? My interpretation of our convo was that it was going to the titles office this week just gone...so they may have had it for only a few days. If I get a chance I may call them. Not sure if they will tell me anything but it's worth a call. I'll let you know how I get on. I do NOT want to redo finance again (that would be the fourth time I think...) Well we're getting the ball rolling again for finance! Ours expires Aug 5, nothing gonna happen by then. Spoke to the titles office today. They say they haven't received the paperwork yet but George assured me today it did go off to them last week. Seems to think that if they do it within five days that would be pretty quick. Then two weeks notice of settlement. Maybe end of this month, maybe early next month. That's just my guess. So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27694 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks ❤️ 0 8936 |
