Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 347Oct 09, 2012 9:20 am well you'd hope they wouldn't bugger up the fencing. I get my keys Friday morning, WOOT and Sandra will start putting up blinds and bits and bobs next week. I have to go to Switzerland for work for a week so will now move in on Tuesday 23rd October, 2 months before Xmas, what a ripper. Concreter have started prepping the yard and landscaping starts next week so fingers crossed in a couple of weeks will all be locked away and I can spend my days worrying about other things in life Hope everyone's builds are going well.... Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 348Oct 09, 2012 9:45 am Scruffy, I think site start is the date they scrape your land with an outline of your house. Mike and Jen[/quote] Thanks Mikeyz32! you're right! we've finally received the site start notice even though they started work last Tues....sigh! feels like there isn't much communications with our builder at all. Hopefully it will get better! Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 349Oct 09, 2012 9:46 am Congrats again sherro1! that's really exciting and your house is looking fantastic! Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 350Oct 09, 2012 10:09 am Congrats again Sherro!!!!!!!! We should be moving in about a week after you Just organising the fencing and driveway at the moment before we apply for our appliances to be fitted and move in. Thanks for the fencing contact, we did end up going with them too. Scruffy-123 Thanks Mikeyz32! you're right! we've finally received the site start notice even though they started work last Tues....sigh! feels like there isn't much communications with our builder at all. Hopefully it will get better! No worries Scruffy. We also found it hard to communicate with the girls in the office. Our SS was great though, so we did most of our communicating with him instead. Mike and Jen Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 352Oct 12, 2012 7:06 am Went past Somerfield yesterday and realised that two doors down from our block someone is building the same house! This was quite a shock due to the fact that Burbank assured us no one else was building the Jameson in that stage. Not happy....but I'm sure it will quite different. Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 353Oct 12, 2012 9:29 am Diagonally behind has ours, but somerfield guidelines r there cant be the same facade within a certain amount of houses so im sure it will look completely different Building the Carlisle Sienna 31 at Somerfield Lot 1550 Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 354Oct 12, 2012 10:00 am Jen is correct about the estate guidelines. Any house, within 6 lots either side of your house, can not have a similar facade as yourself. So it could be the same house, but it shouldn't look exactly the same if that helps in any way. Mike and Jen Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 355Oct 12, 2012 10:25 am Yeah it definitely is a different facade and I'm sure it will not look anything like ours but it more the fact Burbank specifically said no one was building it. That was only a month or two ago. Not really phased about it anyway as we just had a big win with the bank, which doesn't happen to often. Not only did we now get 100% valuation on our property (without having to change any of our add ons) but we got a much better interest rate with bank of Queensland... Plus they are throwing in 1k as a promotion for changing to them Plus we got out of paying any dishonor / discharge fees with ANZ.. All in all a huge win and means we should be starting our build in next couple of weeks A very happy Alex & Lauren Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 357Oct 12, 2012 2:25 pm Congrats to all the movers and shakers at different stages. Its all happening!! Slab finished 28/08/2012 Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 359Oct 15, 2012 9:51 am Congrats MiKu! We've just had our frames up so should finish around the same time =) Re: Somerfield Keysborough Stage 15ers 360Oct 16, 2012 11:03 am Congratulations to everyone on their progressions. Our estate hardly has any vacant lots left. By the way, I've just checked neapmap.com, and they've updated their maps. Latest maps are 4th Oct, so many of the house in our estate are shown. Mike and Jen Not unless you have managed to put it as a special condition into the contract somehow. 1 6150 The fastest thing a builder will do is bank your cheque, those systems work perfectly with lightning speed, everything else is slow burn.
