I have yet another question, we were asked to sign a form in relation to a DA amendment application because our finished floor level (FFL) is different from the plan. We would like to find out a bit more about this before signing anything. Another issue is in the construction plans we will have infill panels above our windows and sliding doors. However, the approved plan we signed did not have infill panels specified, can they add these to the construction without notifying us? Also the windows are now placed higher than in the approved plans. Re: Finished floor level -need to sign DA amendment applicat 2Jul 12, 2011 11:37 pm Gelatiii, Firstly you are making me hungry for dessert!! Have you read a copy of the DA conditions or any correspondence from the local authority to your designer/builder? Sounds like some back and forth negotiation between the designer/builder and the planning department to obtain you an approval. Increase in height is intersting and I cant pin point why this is so. The windows would have changed to meet overlooking requirements. I guess they can do it and they seemed to have, though keeping a client informed and running through council planning requirements with them would be expected for such a change. Nothing, at the beginning just the last page of the amendment application where the signature goes. It seems our finished floor level is lower than what's on the approved plans. If our contour says 515, does it mean 515m above sea level? Re: Finished floor level -need to sign DA amendment applicat 4Jul 14, 2011 9:30 am increased heights in windows is to cut down cost. If you have eves this will prevent the need for treatment above the windows. So no need for infills in some cases. interesting situation what happened after builder issued final invoice? did you list as defect or not does the building surveyor have any responsibility? ie. issuing… 13 46866 isn't a garage level with the rest of the house a given? pretty sure they 'came around' long time ago. if you have a flat block, the garage is usually level with the rest… 1 17511 Thanks for the response!
