Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 442Jun 15, 2012 8:36 pm We are having a walkthrough on Monday. Not PCI just a normal walkthrough. TBH over it all... Bank is also driving me mad... No idea when we are to move in. At this rate July... next year Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 443Jun 18, 2012 3:47 pm Had our PCI this morning with our SS who is great. We thought it was a normal walk through but we went through marking all the issues. Picked up mainly paint issues and a few marks here and there in the gyprock that need patching, nothing major. Also replacing the chipped brick at the front entry which is good. Which was already picked up by our SS. Waiting for some clear skies and sunshine so the landscaping can be finished. Hoping it will be finished this week and then the driveway will be painted once the landscaping is done. Another clean and inspection so looking at roughly 2-3 weeks until we move in So some good news for a Monday. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 445Jun 18, 2012 4:47 pm rosewood has anyone with a design with the entry to ensuite through walk in robe. trying to decide if this is a bad idea or not. if you do it make sure that you have doors inbetween them all. and i have good news, NBN is ready, i just but in a order with iinet!! Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 447Jun 19, 2012 3:48 pm I spoke to penrith council planning & development today to clarify between Mugloa on my 149A certificate & the street signs and was informed the border area has still not been officially defined as yet but the housing area at the ridge will be called Glenmore Park & the rural area will stay as Mulgoa. Maybe this is why the street signs label the suburb when normally it only states the street. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 448Jun 20, 2012 1:07 pm PCI is booked in for next Friday.. fingers crossed the builder gets it together ready for the walkthrough.... We are using iDraft and Cozzcorp for our build http://ridgydidge1460.blogspot.com Plans: http://www.idraft.com.au Construction: http://www.cozzcorp.com.au Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 455Jun 22, 2012 9:43 pm So happy to hear Cass & CamKat are almost at the end of the build process and days away from getting their keys! On another note, we've had several internet issues this week and a phone call to telstra informed us that our street has no NBN service…..we're confused now because Richard has been able to order it. Do some streets have the wiring already setup and others don't???? Now that inside is completely done, we're making a start on outside…..it's about time we cover the ugly dirt mound out the front Es Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 456Jun 23, 2012 10:35 am Yes can't wait to move. Everything is still on track for next week so far. Bank and solicitors are all ready for settlement which will be Thursday. So keys Thursday or Friday. No idea about the NBN. I will look at organising once we are settled in. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 458Jun 23, 2012 5:11 pm I suppose it depends which stage everyone is in, I know stage 10 is telstra at this stage. stage 6 -9 was the first stage for nbn to be connected. My stage 16 isn't even listed however the NBN have confirmed the paperwork is in hand but no date as yet. Banksy so glad you have your approval from stocklands mine was sent yesterday, now the 10 day wait. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 459Jun 23, 2012 7:27 pm Banksy - congrats on your stockland approval.. not long and you can begin your build! We are stage 9, so its NBN for us, is it actually in the streets yet? Driveway to begin on Wed, so fingers crossed the weather stays fine for us... Painters are due back Monday... they rebricked our Front porch today, plus will be starting the repointing of the brickwork.... so its all fun a games on site.. but its never without problems though... Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 460Jun 23, 2012 8:05 pm Rosewood, builder is trying his best to make up some time lost with a few errors in lodging with Stockland and is confident we will have the approval this week some time! Fingers crossed... Thanks Cass, definately anxious to get started, of all goes well should be inside a month both you and camkat should be moved or moving in!!! I just did a night drive through the ridge with my wife and daughter, we jumped out to do a few reps on the monkey bars in the dark haha the little things that I didn't really pay attention to when buying the land are going to come in handy!!!
