Pictures inside! *Fowler Build* 48Sep 24, 2011 11:16 am Hey guys! Bit of a delay with the updates been super busy and there was a little bit of a slow down as we are working out retaining walls and some things. But now for a photo overload again yay! The porch! (so apparently the issue was they never made a "drop" on the slab for the porch to drop into it was just level with the rest of the floor of the house) much nicer looking now! Great progress pics, yes I agree poor bifolds make sure you check for any damage/scratches when they are cleaned. Pictures inside! *Fowler Build* 51Oct 03, 2011 6:45 pm I was having look through your pictures and one thing sprung to mind, did they place the physical termite barrier? I know Fowler were doing Graniteguard before now are using Trithor. Our tender/contract has Trithor termite barrier and I know the physical barrier should be placed prior to frames and the sheet should actually be sitting under the frame. (Had a look at the Trithor site). Our Build Thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=50638 Re: Our First Build! Pictures inside! *Fowler Build* 52Oct 07, 2011 9:55 am B&V - No I don't believe we got any termite barriers.. I never saw any get placed down or remember seeing anything in the contract about it Update - Bifold doors have been smashed the fiance discovered the other day after a peek in. Haven't been informed of this yet but they will now need to replace them. Not really a surprised after them laying on the ground for the past 3 months. www.tinas-cakery.com Building a Monte Carlo with Fowler Homes. Here is a link on how the termite protection should of been applied http://www.granitgard.com.au/about.php You should look at the cavity (where the edge beams of the slab is) between the brick work and frames to see if they have placed anything in there. Imagine soemone doing that, it is unbelievable I hope the builder sorts things out quickly for you and those beautiful doors(well not those ones exactly ) get put in soon. Re: Our First Build! Pictures inside! *Fowler Build* 58Oct 21, 2011 12:12 pm Hi, just stumbled onto your thread and all looking very nice. Shame about the bifolds... Luckily it is the builders responsability... I would have loved to have bi folds, but where we are building there is a large number of local mozzies and midgies especially, which means better ahving the stacker doors as we are getting insect screens... Anyways, looking forward seeing more of your built. great floor plan btw. Re: Our First Build! Pictures inside! *Fowler Build* 59Oct 26, 2011 1:50 pm gogo65 - Thanks for the well wishes, haha yes hoping to still see the doors get replaced soon! tan39 - Thankyou, we have also worried about the mozzie/insect problem especially as out the back of our property it is an open field but hoping it wont be to much of a problem, I was a little too obsessed with having the bifolds to say no to them Here's a new picture of how its looking at the moment! We have our three little windows in above the garage that the council requested to make the facade look less "ugly". Bricking is slow but coming along well at the back of the house also.
