Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 04, 2011 9:52 am Hi We are building a 2 storey house (see blog link in signature) and the person we were going to get to do the network cabling work has fallen through... So, we are now looking for a qualified cabler in the Brisbane area to come and run the cable at rough-in stage and then come back and terminate it at a later date. Is anyone on here a licensed cabler or have one they they could recommend? To give you more of an idea of the job: Amount of work: 40 points over 2 storey's When: At the moment we estimate that the work will need to be done in the next few weeks, our frame is done and the roof is just about finished. Where: The house is in the Greenbank 4124 area to give you an idea of travel time. We can organise the purchae of the actual cable and jacks/jackpoints. There is no gyprock anywhere as yet, so running the cable should be relatively straightforward. There is power on site, the electrician still needs to do his rough-in. The builders are letting us know 2 weeks in advance of when the electrician will be there so that we can organise the network cabling. In regards to site access the site supervisor has advised that we can do the work on the weekend if we want (this is preferred by us also), however if this doesn't suit we can ask them to hand over the site on a weekday to complete the work Please PM for more details or to register your interest. Thanks Re: Looking for network cabler in Brisbane - any recommendat 2Jul 05, 2011 2:30 pm This should probably be posted in the Home Theatre & Automation subforum. There are data cablers in there.
