My rellie's house had a huge backyard but was still on a typical street. They were a 2min walk from the Wallan Primary School. Can't beat open space & fresh air! fingers crossed for some progress soon Building our custom design "Dream Home" Follow my Build - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46820 Contract Signed - 28/04/11 Siteworks Commenced - 20/06/11 Re: Pattycake's PA [fortified village] 26Jul 15, 2011 11:45 pm for photo's,nice bit off dirt there Pced Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! Re: Pattycake's PA [fortified village] 31Jul 21, 2011 10:46 pm lol sounds like the conversation I had last week. The concrete trucks absolutely trashed my driveway, now it resebles a river more than a driveway with all the rain we had. I am sure I havent heard the last of it. How long is your driveway? Re: Pattycake's PA [fortified village] 32Jul 21, 2011 11:08 pm I hear you[wish they had heard me]Our drive is about 136m,I keep telling myself I will have a great bass for my drive as the truck was sinking I had to watch gravel[$$$$] sink deep into the black hole.I tell myself you have no control of this situation and there is always tomorrow Re: Pattycake's PA [fortified village] 33Jul 23, 2011 6:29 pm pattycake4 Thank you, It's hard when you don't have a display home to compare. We have great views to enjoy Re: Pattycake's PA [fortified village] 36Jul 23, 2011 9:07 pm if its any consolation pattycake, we spent 20k regrading and gravelling our driveway so the builders could access the site, only to have those floods in Feb 2 days after we did it washing a stack of it down the creek. We have a bridge over a creek that runs into a neighbours dam on our entry to the property and it was 2ft under wqter, our driveway is over 1km long. The front of the drive near the road, whic we thought was ok, had gone spongey with all the summer rain and was begging for a truck to sink into it, so the drains were all cut and it was left the drain for a few weeks before they could even get onto it to put the rocks on. you are probably better off waiting until spring now for them to start anyway.
