Pattycake's PA [fortified village] Painting has started

V an K said it was about time I started my own thread[no more hi jacking]
Had three and a half acres.About 7 years ago council rezone our land to R1
we applied to subdivide into 1 acre lots,no council wanted 300sqm lots so the
fight began.Move on 5 years we get permit for 3 lots took two years to get all
of the compliances.As of this week I have started my build,first trench for services
down drive about 134m, and house has been pegged,once services are in and trench is
backfilled I then need gravel for drive.After that slab,house is my design I as using
a small builder
Here is elevations/plan and brick I am using austral newport

I have made a few changes to plan.

The outside is so much like mine

,inside is very well thought out & is that the brick you are using,it VERY nice!

Yes that is my Brick,was lucky it has been deleted from austral melbourne range
Took about 3 months of driving around on weekends,Austral web site doesn't
give a true colour for there brick[picky ]

Hey,i just saw that you live in Wallan

My ex brother inlaw has a fencing business there with his two sons.
Been there for yonks & yonks.

BL is just a gorgeous bloke,1 sons a ratbag but lovely & eldest is lovely too & has had a marriage break-up recently.
We were staying with BL for eldest's wedding about 4 yrs ago.

Have to be careful,you may know them :lol:

I had a local do farm fencing when I did subdivison.
Maybe it was him nice guy,went down to my block
don't think they will be working tomorrow it been raining
lovely mud everywhere,will try and get some pics

Yeah Pattycake, so great to see you have a thread.

Lovely house design. I like the space in your laundry and the elevations. Very nice indeed.

Any thoughts on roof colours etc. Brick is very nice too

I am having same roof colour as you Bushland,I already have it on my shed
Windows white birch that's as far as I have got,tossing up to have fascia
and garage painted white birch.Not wanting to add another colour as
there is a few colours in brick,I am waiting to see how your posts look
I think with your brick and red guttering it will be eye catching.Imo
bushland blends so nice in bush settings

Thank you, It's hard when you don't have a display home to compare.
I have gone with safe colours,let the bricks be the star,that's what
I am hoping.

I definitely agree (about Bushland, and about the colours in your brick). I had better get cracking with those photos then. Not sure where the camera is at the moment....oops

Thanks,my old house was ranch without verandra never tooked finish.
I have a picture in my head of the look I want to achieve.

Hey Pced,put up a new photo off those tiles in the bthrm thread i started,check them out

I also love the varandah all around,but putting the house in the build envolope like my man wonted i could not have them.
Not to worry i gave that up to get someother things

& the one at the front is 3m wide so i will get to enjoy that,plus the one going around the back

Love, love, love your plan - if only we could have had a lovely big verandah all the way round our house I would be very happy - we'll have to make do with a pergola when the time comes ::cry::

Lots of space in your plan - lovely big kitchen/meals area and huge pantry - you will be so happy in your castle!! Look forward to following your build and wish you good luck with it all!!

A house is such a BIG investment,You don't want to get it wrong.
Will try and get some pics very wet,don't want is get bogged

Went to the block didn't want to risk getting bogged,no action telstra
need to run their cable up then trench can be backed filled.Took a few
pics of trench/mud,I can see it's going to be along eight months

Trench is not straight because of our old house on left,and a telstra pit
that would have been in middle of drive[$4000 to move]
