That's an awesome size wine rack plenty of good drops to be stored. Oh and had a look at our light switches today and ours seem like they are going to be on the walls. Will find out next week when the plaster is finished. Re: Building with Sterling Homes 27Apr 20, 2012 4:00 pm Thanks for letting me know about the light switches I was not happy about them being on the architraves but got over it pretty quickly next time I will be remembering this at selections and specifically telling them to put them on the walls. Good luck and send pics soon! Thinking you should be pretty much ready for handover? Re: Building with Sterling Homes 31Jun 14, 2012 12:51 pm Hey, it's been a hectic couple of weeks and all moved in! still waiting on the splash back which will be installed next Tuesday so will post pics next week. I finished the stormwater the other day and this weekend will begin digging for the retaining walls/fence. BTW the radio rentals guys who delivered our new fridge and tv put a hole in our eves at the back of the house so the house has already been christened!! at least no one go hurt. I checked your page nglbuilder and things are looking good when you moving in? You sending them a nice bill? Got an e-mail from builder today the electricians were back putting in all the fittings and switches today and apparently the plumber will be back hopefully tomorrow to put the second fix in. Then I think it is just a matter of the carpenter coming back to put the robes in and the painter to do the second coat and then that's it. They are forecasting a late June early July handover. So pretty exciting times ahead. Did you have sterling do all your flooring? Re: Building with Sterling Homes 34Jun 15, 2012 9:45 am yes RR are paying for the repairs so hopefully should be fixed in the next couple of weeks. We had our flooring done by Carpet Court, 12mm laminate in the hallway, kitchen, dining and lounge and carpet in the bedrooms. They installed everything on two separate mornings and we coordinated the move around the install, this worked perfectly. Fingers crossed for a smooth move in the next few weeks!! Did you have Sterling tack them on or try to leave the perfect gap and slip the boards under or just butt the flooring up against them? in. Popped by our place today and the plumber has been and put the tapware. So now it is just the shower, BIR and dutch gable batons... Time to start planning the garden I think. Cheers Re: Building with Sterling Homes 36Jun 15, 2012 2:58 pm we asked for the skirting to be tacked so no quarter rounds for us I now need to go around and fix the skirting properly as it is ok but not the best (i have nails and the gun). The bedrooms were fixed as carpets were laid there. Are you getting laminate? Got a dog with pretty gnarly nails don't want a nice timber looking floor with nail gouges through it. We spoke to SS about the skirting and he said that with tiles it does not matter as much as you can just tile up to the boards and it looks just as good and you don't need to worry about refitting the boards, which I think is a plus as there is already a list of things for me to take care of once the house is finished.
