Hopefully build will start the next few weeks. That's exciting!! Have they given you any time frames? They are: 28 days to build from date of letter and 23 week build Getting so excited now. Is that your block where they had formwork done for the slab on Wednesday? We were told that we should have a slab today or tomorrow. Was really hoping I'd go out today and it would be done but no such luck. Can't see anything happening tomorrow given the weather. Fingers crossed that you see something happen really soon Building Hawthorne 27 with Eden Brae McKeachies Run - Aberglasslyn Slab 4/10/11 Re: McKeachies Run, Aberglasslyn. 34Oct 05, 2011 7:35 pm I heard a rumor today that an application for public housing has been approved for McKeachies. Anyone heard anything? Fingers crossed it is just gossip.............. Hope it's not true...that would suck big time. Goes against every reason you'd buy in McKeachie's Run. Cannot see how this would all comply with the design guidelines. Would hope we have not been made to comply to these guidelines then they go and let large complex of some sort be built in the estate. Will be interesting to hear what comes out of this. Hubby asked sales office over weekend and they were quite clear that no housing commision would ever be approved for the estate. I wouldn't have thought that Stocklands would let that happen but apparently the latest development happening out our way behind our street (Teal) is not Stocklands? We were up there this afternoon going for a walk and the Eden Brae house up along McKeachies Dr ( next to the GJ homes) has all the windows frames sitting in the garage and everyone of them is smashed! Whoever did that has also punched holes in the mdf boards and broken a few frames here and there. Isn't that disgusting and scary! I would cry if that was my place. They only seemed to have done the one place though. Fingers crossed it doesn't continue! Pretty easy target though when you think that there is no one up there to see or hear what's going on. Vandalism is a low act and I hate how people think that sort of behaviour is acceptable. Just like the graffiti on the McKeachie's sign as you drive in, really gives me the $hits. Sad thing is that at the end of the day it us that pays for this with increased building costs to pay for the insurance cover etc. Hopefully once some people start moving in it will stop. We are kind of glad in one way that we won't be first family moved in. I would be terrified living up there all alone with no neighbours. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 8863 |
