I went to Myers yesterday (they have sales girls!) and bought fluffy white and green towels to drap over the rails. Mr B is not allowed to use them because they are for show purposes only :roll:

What's funny about that?

None of my family are allowed to use the "good" towels. :wink:

. It is so great to see you finally getting the chance to enjoy your absolutely stunning new home. It's true really, all good things take time. Not only do you have a beautiful house to look at both outside and in, but also an amazing view. And what a great time to move in, not long before you can put that fire to great use, with a nice glass of wine and a pretty good view to distract you from everything else.

And congratulations on your 1000 post, what a great announcement to be able to celebrate with.

Easter Bunny might also like a celebratory drink.

Can I just say, right now I am so overwhelmed by all your beautiful messages. Mr B is doing the whole move himself :shock:

thats the way he does things. I am taking pics today with some of my furniture in place.

kek, I even have 'special' tea towels that are for display purposes only...now that is really sad

So glad to hear that you finally have the keys. I don't check out many blogs but yours is definately one that I watch with interest. You have inspired me to take a few risks with regards to colours after seeing how well all your choices have come together. I just hope I have as much patience as you have had over your build. Can't wait to see the finished product

We are not too far behind you, our settlement has been brought forward so it looks like we are shifting on the 24th. That would be Ok, except we have already booked and paid for a weeks holiday next week, thinking we would have a bit of R and R before moving. Oh well, we'll get there!

Hi everybody

I thought I would post some pictures of 'work in progress' ...more will be on my blog. Its the 3rd day we have been in our house and its still like a wonderful dream. I still cant believe we have finally done it and to say I have polished, cleaned, looked at every part of the house would be an understatement. Already we have had my family over and Mr B's in the next few days. It is exciting to show my relatives around and actually feel very proud of what we have achieved. The kitchen is still my Pièce de résistance as I had designed it myself right down to the last detail. My cabinet maker agonised over this kitchen and must of been back and forth several times just to make sure it was perfect.Thankyou John
So...am I disappointed with anything and have I forgotten how long it took? I am thrilled with everything and strangely enough I can say it was worth the wait

I am however so relieved and glad it is over. We still have tradesman coming back for a variety of jobs but thats OK, it dosent worry me at all. The hydronics are still not all attached, we have no heating but it has been so warm during the day, we all walk around the house in tee shirts anyway. Fireplaces will go in this week and I cant wait for that. Anyway, here are just a few pictures but just of the bare furniture, we havent had time to unpack all my paintings and bits and piece so the rooms are not decorated yet.

The Kitchen...Michelle picked the colour for me and was always there encouraging me that it will all work together.

My new green couch and ottoman upstairs. It was great fun watching the boys take this up stairs...I almost had a heart attack and all I could say while the guys were stuck half way up the staircase "please don't damage the walls'
