You've got very nice kitchen (love the benchtop!)... and I love your WIRs and laundry !!! (esp the green cupboard/WIR doors! - we'll have the same in our mud room!)

No I am not going to continue the red above the cupboards, I dont think its needed. On a side note, my builder also said I shouls do the colour right up to the ceiling :shock:

Thankyou to everybody for all positive and encouraging comments over the last year

To say it has been exhausting is an understatement. I tell you, this house better be worth it! A friend of ours who recommended the builder said to me a few weeks ago that myself and Mr B were really nice, understanding people who are prepared to wait and have everything done properly in the house. I looked at him and said....

"We are too nice :evil:

and maybe if we had of shouted, demand, hound and be ruthless just as we have every right to be then maybe our house would have been built months ago"

I dont really feel like posting any more pics on the forum as it has gone on for too long but then I think of all my on-line friends who have been there from the beginning and shown interest in my house build, I should see it through to the end. Hopefully there is only a month to go so I can put this thread to rest with pictures of a completed home.

Mrs B, i know i for one have been watching your build with great excitement! It is hard, it is stressful....but please think of the end result.

I know you would rather have everything the way you want, than rushing it or settling for something that was less that satisfactory in your eyes.

This house is going to be wonderful and your Homeone family, (especially me) cant wait to see more and more.....and to see your dream become a reality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys...

I think you know me by now...just having an 'indulgent big sook' I will be fine tomorrow. Its okay, just dwelling on whats been happening in Melbourne over the last few weeks...just feeling very unsettled.

Your house is looking amazing Mrs B! and only 25 days until you move in, no wonder you are getting exited about the house again!

And wait until your floors have been sanded and polished, it will just look fantastic, how envious, I can't wait and we haven't even started!

This building a house is just one big waiting game - find a builder / plan you like - wait for a price - make a change - wait for a price - ask a question - wait for an answer - ask for contracts - wait - problems with contract ask for it to be fixed - wait - sign contracts - CHRISTMAS - wait, wait, wait! - submit plans to council -wait - problems with council - wait ....... we haven't even started building yet and I am SICK of waiting! I can understand your frustration with it taking sooo long. It must get harder and harder as you get closer to the end. Hang in there MrsB, I'm positive it is worth the wait. (Can you please remind me of this when it is my turn?!?)

Good point fairy blue! We are fed up of waiting too and haven't even put the DA through Council yet! (we should hopefully be signing our contract in the next week or so...). I will need to be reminded at some point too that it is worth the wait! :wink:

I havent updated this thread like I use to because it has been such a slow house build. It had been a very long journey so hopefully it will be worth it. I love my marble bench tops...it is something I have always dreamt about. The white granite kitchen top took me over a year to find just the right colour and stone.

I cant wait for this thread to come to an end :lol:

hopefully in 3 weeks time I can announce I am in then Lock it please moderators :wink:
