PPA 30/6/12, Land 28/06/12, Contract 7/9/12, Valuation 11/9/12, Prestart 13/9/12, Settlement 18/10/12, Building Permit Issued 18/10/12, Footings 30/10/11, Slab 31/10/11 Re: DIY Soakwell Installation 33Mar 25, 2013 12:59 pm who is the builder? mine (celebrations) really made it difficult for me but I ended up getting soakwells by owner in the contract, no mention about voiding warranty odviously if somethin happend and it came up that they werent done correctly warranty would be void Re: DIY Soakwell Installation 34Mar 25, 2013 1:02 pm turtleschell 1 per downpipe is a bad idea I think, coz some downpipes carry the brunt of the rain and one soakwell will just overflow everytime. I ended up getting mine professionally done, I think he installed 11 concrete soakwells 600x600. He was cheap and great service, if you're in Perth and want his details PM me. must be very small house? thats only 1.87m3 of storage do you recall the roof area? Re: DIY Soakwell Installation 35Mar 25, 2013 1:46 pm My roof area is about 280 from memory.. not a small house. I've just rechecked the plans and theres 11 soakwells for 11 downpipes. There are 5 at the front of the house, I'm wondering if they all drain into several at once or he's done one per downpipe. I'll email him and confirm it's adequate storage. Called Henry from Henry's Soakwells as he was the only person that called back and a friend had used him before to install his soakwells. Supplied me with everything I need at a very affordable price with free delivery, and spent about 25 minutes with me, just making sure I knew everything I was doing! Very gentleman like and caring attitude unlike any other trade I have really worked with before. I would be strongly recommending Henry's Soakwells @ 04303 53 254 to whom ever needs wells delivered or installed. #firstpost! DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair I mean, I install them/sell them for a living so I haven't done DIY, unless you count the first one I installed lol. (electrician by trade).
