Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 18, 2011 1:37 pm I am thinking of going with Newchoice homes.. I know they are pretty new but the price is quite reasonable.. Can anyone share their experience about Newchoice homes?? Re: Anyone built with Newchoice homes in WA? 2Jun 19, 2011 11:30 pm Being in the building industry myself I have heard things, but I won't give opinions of builders on here, good or bad. My understanding is that the price is "reasonable" because they have a very low spec on their homes, so make sure you check that you would be happy with the spec. A few things to check with any new companies are - - who owns and backs the company financially? (You would be covered by insurance if they went bust, but do you really want to go through that?) - How many sales have they taken on since starting up, and how long are they taking to get to construction? (Sometimes with new builders they are still getting things sorted, like making sure they have enough staff in each department and getting together a payroll of competent tradies, so the build doesn't go quite as smoothly as it should. It would not be a good start if they've taken on hundreds of homes and none of them are in construction, how would they get on top of that workload.) Basically the best thing is to do your homework and see if you can get the above information from the builder (or someone else in the know, most people in the Perth building industry are reasonably aware of the answers), so you should be able to find out from somewhere. And of course make sure it is the house plan and spec that you are happy with wondering anyone built with omaxe homes and care to share their experiences. thanks 0 13776 Hi we are looking to talk to people who have built with them recently.
