Our build began on 28th Jan and finally.. (it seems like forever) we have our PCI booked in for 2pm Tuesday. Overall we are really happy with Coral's standard of finishes - only few things like paint touch ups etc. Cant wait to move in - everything going to plan handover will be 25th July Have some new pics - hope I havent gone too overboard outside/yard Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ ALFRESCO Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ KITCHEN (Pendant lights need a little levelling ) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ ENSUITE Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ (By this stage camera ran out of batteries so havent got pics of ensuite vanity or shower Powder room and laundry (Both still need to be tiled and have splashbacks put on) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ KIDS BATHROOM - feature wall /vanity Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ GAMES ROOM Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building a Coral Hamilton 278 - McKeachies Run 25Jul 11, 2011 7:28 am Wow!! Love your kitchen. I am having a white kitchen and every time I see someone elses I get excited and it confirms I have made the right choice. Did you supply your own cabinet handles? Coral didn't have any bigger ones, so I am supplying my own. I love the look of them. And what colours are your kitchen cupboards and bench top? We are throttled back to dial up and I can only load some of your pics. Will have to have alook at work tonight. From what I can see, your house is stunning!! Re: Building a Coral Hamilton 278 - McKeachies Run 26Jul 11, 2011 7:34 am Yay - I have managed to load them all. The feature wall in the kids bathroom looks amazing. I see you got the bathroom upgrade. The vanities look fantastic. We got the semi-recessed ones and not the ones that sit on top. I was exactly the same with looking at other peoples white kitchens. I have a bad habit of picking colours and then obsessing about them until they actually went in the house lol... Hubby would always say too late now anyway but I liked having that re assurance that they would be ok. Our cabinet handles we still actually got through Coral. Like you said, Coral didnt have bigger ones but Beck ( In charge of Newcastle colour selections) was fantastic and said if you dont like these you can have anything you like. She showed me the TEKFORM web site and we picked the handles from there. (oddly enough, all the kitchen handles did not cost me anything to upgrade but the laundry ones, which were exactly the same cost an extra $98???? ) The kitchen cupboards are vivid white 2 pak. I couldnt pick a white so went to bunnings and asked what was just a plain white i.e no tint and they said vivid white. I was worried at first it would be too clinical, but since they've gone in Im really happy with the colour. The bench top is organic white caesarstone. What whites have you gone with (benchtop/cabinets) What paint are you going with?.. Im sorry if Ive asked that before.. Ive asked a lot of people with white kitchens what colour whites they went with Re: Building a Coral Hamilton 278 - PCI TUESDAY - NEW PICS 28Jul 11, 2011 11:58 am debba-m Tamara1975 Wow!! Re: Building a Coral Hamilton 278 - McKeachies Run 29Jul 11, 2011 12:02 pm Its good that you had the option to upgrade the kitchen handles. When I said I didn'tlike any of them, the colour consultant suggested I buy my own. You would think that they would have bigger handles in the range now seeing as so many people have them. It is the same with towel ladders. They didn't have an option there either so I have bought my own. I should have asked if we could have the handles and towel rail anyway so I could sell them on ebay lol. I would recoup some costs that way. Thankyou - but I cant take the credit for that lol Hubby actually picked that stone! The kids bathroom in the Hamilton is quite small (wish we took it out under the eaves ) but hopefully if I also put a mirror across from the feature wall it will at least give the illusion of it looking a bit bigger Are they the new vanities in the upgrade package? I know they had new ones come out in the upgraded package which were half in and half out just after we had picked ours at colour selection. I was ummming and arhing about changing them to those ones as they are gorgeous but ended up just leaving them.(Hopefully ours being on top wont outdate too quickly ) Yours will look fantastic ! I cant wait to see your bathrooms! The way your house is going up I wont have to wait too long I know Coral has a new package called the eclipse package.. do u know exactly what was in it..sorry bout all the questions just really curious as too what it was all about http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=48685 Re: Building a Coral Hamilton 278 - PCI TUESDAY - NEW PICS! 31Jul 11, 2011 12:38 pm Tamara1975 Its good that you had the option to upgrade the kitchen handles. I know what you mean - when you get credits from them.. its not a great deal especially for things like towel rails. I kept mine in the kids bathroom but the one from the ensuite is going in the laundry. I cant put my heated towel racks up til after handover.. dont you just love bassix!!!! What towel ladders did you get? Do u have to wait til handover to put them up? We got one off ebay. It is a square one with 8 rails. I didn't get a heated one - mainly because we forgot to get a powerpoint pot in the ensuite and it was wired and gyprocked up already. I do vaguely remember the SC saying the semi recessedbasins being new. I am not sure what is in the eclipse package, but I know it includes a lot of upgrades like higher ceilings, stone bench tops etc. It came out after we had already started. Re: Building a Coral Hamilton 278 - McKeachies Run 33Jul 11, 2011 1:34 pm Everything looks fantastic ... love everything! Goodness, I just can't imagine how excited you are to be so close to handover!!! I'm lucky as I've been able to deal with the kitchen supplier directly (local kitchen maker) and she's already said I can have bigger handles and showed me a huge range that wouldn't cost me anymore. Same with the laminates, I could have anything (except the thicker benchtop it costs more) and it wouldn't cost anything extra. As I've got 3 children I needed more than the double towel rail, so I'm going to get them to install the included one to the ensuite (have 2 in there) and I've bought 2 x 750mm double rails for the bathroom. ~ trying to build our dream home by the sea ~ Re: Building a Coral Hamilton 278 - McKeachies Run 34Jul 11, 2011 3:15 pm Not long to go,love your kitchen looks so light and big Re: Building a Coral Hamilton 278 - PCI TUESDAY - NEW PICS 35Jul 11, 2011 9:21 pm Tamara1975 debba-m Tamara1975 Wow!! Thanks Rary! Handover is soo close but I think it will be the longest 2 weeks of our lives Thats really good about the kitchen handles and really good about the laminates. I know it does cost Coral anymore for different laminate colours but they certainly charge us We had to pay an extra $300 in the laundry just to have oyster linea we paid only because we wanted it all to be the same with the bathrooms, ensuite etc. Where abouts are you putting the 2 towel rails in your bathroom? The Stradbrokes (kids) bathroom is bigger than the Hamilton, but we have 3 kids too and I have that same problem. Im at a loss where to put 2nd towel though ( And considering the carpenter went in and put the rail where he wanted my options are limited) Re: Building a Coral Hamilton 278 - McKeachies Run 37Jul 11, 2011 9:39 pm pattycake4 Not long to go,love your kitchen looks so light and big Thanks Pattycake! I'll do the same in the ensuite. I was trying to find a picture, but of course I now can't find one to show what I mean. ETA: a pic!
