Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 14, 2011 10:02 pm Hi, we're building at McKeachies Run in Aberglasslyn. We are on the yet to be registered land on the other side of Oakhampton Rd. We are building the Hawthorne 27 with Eden Brae. Just interested to see how many others out there are building in the same area and with Eden Brae? Not quite sure what to think of them at the moment as we signed the Tender back before Easter and was told we had 2 weeks to sign contracts and pay deposit and now here we are 2 months on and still no sign of the contracts! We've submitted our external colours for development approval and have our colour consultation on Thursday at the new office in Thornton but I really hope that our build time isn't pushed back. Anyone else had issues with their contracts? Does anyone know if the land registered on Friday gone? Our block is in wagtail st. Our block was registered on 6th June, settlement is 20th June. We have signed off on our plans but beechwood don't do colours or contract until plans are approved by council. This is hard considering stock land want our colours before they go to council. In process of trying to work this out now. We paid our initial deposit back in April and have just signed contracts last week. They've given us an expected start date of August - depending on council ofcourse. Our tender & contract presenter was outstanding - only hope the rest of it goes as smoothly! I built with EB back on 2009.
