Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 10, 2011 6:22 pm Hi Guys! Needing some urgent advice. Basically building with F*wler Homes and are passed council and have had the peg out completed. Expecting the slab to go down this week and we have just recieved an email off the builders letting us know that the concreters have been out to inspect and prepare for works to commence with the slab. We have now been told there is up to 50 loads of fill to be removed, They can happily do this for us at the cost of $442 per load inc Gst, alternatively if we know of somebody else that can remove the fill from site next week thats fine too. So basically the cost to remove this fill is $22.000. Suggestions, Thoughts, ideas? Before I crawl into the fetal position and cry? www.tinas-cakery.com Building a Monte Carlo with Fowler Homes. We got the invoice the other day and it cost $426 for the truck/haulage side of things (bobcat was charged as part of the install so can't give you that component). We didn't have to pay for the disposal as the developer was looking for fill - it was just transporting it there. ~ trying to build our dream home by the sea ~ 2 4324 yeah i couldnt picture it issue either, but i could clearly picture what they were doing wrong haha 2 5260 If you're in a flood zone, not only are you dealing with the importation of fill and laying it down in 150 lifts to achieve compaction, you're going to have to consider… 4 5516 |
