Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 30, 2011 4:52 pm Hi all, Not sure which forum that I have to post my question to but here we go.. We are living in Melbourne and we are planning to buy or build a new house as an investment property (IP) in Brisbane. We've been advised to find the IP near Redbank Plains, Dalby or Doolandella area and we're going there this weekend. So we were wondering whether any of you have any information/opinions regarding these areas? Or even better, do you have any suggestion which area that you think is worth visit while we are there? Also, do you have any suggestion for a good builder in mind? (in case we decide to go ahead with building) I know this will be an individual preferences but it's better to have more options rather than a few. Any information would be great! Cheers, T Re: Your Favourite residental area in Brisbane? 2May 31, 2011 9:51 am I actually live in the southern end (and am hence building down that way - close to my work etc), but have been to display homes here there and everywhere. To be honest, an area which I never thought of ever purchasing in was out near Redbank Plains. But when I went out there to have a look around, it was great - particularly for investment properties I believe. Mountview Estate (not sure who the developer is) particularly caught my eye, I went through some really nice "Devine" display homes and think I will purchase one out there through them in a few years, as they have approved NRAS allocation (and that's the only way we could afford one!). Holmview has a few estates and it's more between Gold Coast and Brisbane and isn't far off the M1. Pimpama is just north of Dreamworld and just off the M1, a bit more expensive, but is in the "growth corridor".
