Building a Modified Madison 37. Ours are really disgusting as well - hopefully Clarendon get's everything cleaned. The window tracks as well are very dirty since during during brickwork, the windows were open and dirt went into the tracks... We even have one of the windows with a huge ding - I think Clarendon will be replacing the whole window... I thought they will just replace the parts that were damaged. Ensuite we get full height tiling for the bathroom but 2nd bathroom and powder only half way. How much approx to upgrade all the way? Also if I was to go for larger tiles how much?:) I am trying to budget now before going into the colour studio! Thanks, K. How long's a piece of string No seriously there are so many factors that will determine the cost. We are paying around $9k extra in tiles. For us that is tiling to roof on all 4 walls in main bathroom (which is large as it was extended). Wood look large tiles for floors plus grate drains. Feature wall of upgraded tile in main and ensuite. Large floor tiles = higher labour cost. If you go rectified it's even more $$$. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14285Apr 24, 2016 9:54 am We're looking at screens & shutters at the moment. We were looking at going for something like Clearshield as opposed to Crimsafe type woven mesh, its just easier to clean. I'm also getting quotes on Plantation Shutters. What sort of prices are people getting for an entire 2 storey house? My uncle sells this sort of stuff so I went to see him last night and is going to do Plantation Shutters and the same product as Clearshield for basically cost. To do our entire house, we're looking at about $9300 for plantation shutters and $4700 for clearshield type product. We got a quote for Clearshield which was about $9000 alone. One thing I saw in the laundry was, where is the tap for the washing machine? Then I saw the hole on the side of the cabinet with the cable/hose cover so I looked under the sink. I swear when I looked under the sink, there was only a cold tap for the washing machine. I thought this is silly and I checked the plans and the plans do show a Hot & Cold. I'm wondering now if I'm blind and need to re-check or is it possibly they could not have put this in? Has anyone else had this happen? I know they only put cold in for Dishwashers, but can't imagine why they wouldn't for a washing machine. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14292Apr 24, 2016 1:06 pm Lou12Z Might be piggy backed to the hot water outlet for the tap. If that were true, wouldn't you do that for cold as well? Either way, according to the diagram for the laundry, there is supposed to be a hot water outlet just above the cold. There is a hot & cold not far from the location of the mixer as well. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14293Apr 24, 2016 4:47 pm leese Really impressed with our SS. We spoke to him on Monday and asked when Brickies would start? (Bricks ready and waiting). He said there was a delay and not sure when they would start. They were there Tuesday and the rest of the week - AWESOME!! No photos of brick work yet as, in other news: I had a gorgeous boy on Tuesday. We have 4 boys now! So really looking forward to new house and filling up all the rooms!!! Yes only 2 on diagram but that is stated for washing machine Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14296Apr 24, 2016 8:44 pm Hi, May be a silly question, i know Clarendon will charge you to put in a Foxtel point. I know Foxtel always have free install so why do we need Clarendon to do it ? Any advantages vs Foxtel free install? Your house looks great by the way. not long to go now. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14298Apr 24, 2016 9:22 pm Lou12Z Don't know my friend. Maybe a question for your SS. Your house looks great by the way. not long to go now. Me either, I've emailed him anyway so I'll see what happens. I wish I'd taken a photo of it. I took a photo of everything else! The house is looking pretty good despite a few things but I'm sure that will get resolved. House will look a lot better once its cleaned up a bit, as its so dusty etc as you can imagine being a work site. Can't wait for the main floor tiles to go in, it really will make a lot of difference. Good sign that there isn't long to go. From today I'd say we're pretty close to one month away from handover. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 14299Apr 25, 2016 8:36 am We have plumbing to use tank water in the laundry as well as the normal hot and cold, all our toilets look like the are running off tank water to flush the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 3132 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
