Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9502Jul 17, 2015 4:26 pm Looking great Fiona! How long did it take to get to this stage from slab? Do you have SC for your site supervisor? Only work on ours happened Monday when part of the frame went up - no steel and windows aren't delivered yet. Not a good feeling when building has stalled after only 1 day since going back to construction (after it was on hold for the pool construction). I'm really looking forward to seeing some progress hopefully soon!! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9509Jul 17, 2015 6:43 pm Yes we have SC - communication has been good and I get the feeling that he is good at his job.I have found Clarendon to be great so far - hope it stays that way. Unfortunately for us they are very busy at the moment with a number of builds. I agree with it being frustrating - a roller coaster ride at the moment. I'm confident it will all happen in time and it will be worth it in the end but I'm also tired of travelling hours each day to get the kids to school. Ok, I'm also needing that glass of wine right now Fiona!! DG85 where are you building and how long has the process been for you? We will all get there in the end!!! Fingers crossed for some decent weather and good progress for all of us in the coming weeks!! Building the Fairmont 38 with upgrades @ Castle Hill NSW Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9512Jul 17, 2015 8:09 pm We are in Eastwood Our delays are not due to SC. our initial SS was nothing special and our bricks took 3 months which has set us back. We started in dec/ jan and we still are not at lock up. Originally SS told us we would be in by August by SC is now saying October. Arrhhh wine....oh how I miss u. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9513Jul 17, 2015 8:16 pm Fiona_in_Av So yesterday they started to take down all the scaffolding, it started raining and they left. It's nice to get a bit of an idea on how the house will look, well sort of. I don't think I'll have a house by September though as originally planned, I really hope I have a house for Christmas. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We too are waiting for our scaffolding to come down to see what the house really looks like. We've driven past and stopped a few times with the scaffolding up, so we have a little idea.. but when that scaff comes down, we'll be able to see exactly what it's going to look like. What is happening with the corner of your house there in the pic? Is that to be cladding? We are building the parkhill 32 with a few add ons Castle hill is also lovely. Very family orientated. a KandRCH Hoping you get to lock up asap DG85 and things speed up for you. What house are you building? You also did a knockdown rebuild? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9517Jul 17, 2015 8:54 pm Fiona_in_Av Yes that open section is cladding. I would have thought that it would have been put on while the higher scaffolding was still up. I think the next step will be the garage roof and the eaves that run along the front of the house under the cladding. Yeh, it's the same with our house. Second storey bricks all done and scaffolding coming down next week. Then they will do garage roof and ground floor gutter and eaves. We have two sections of cladding as well and that doesn't seem to go on yet either. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 9518Jul 17, 2015 8:59 pm DG85 the parkhill is a great house. Have you sorted out your landscaping? I love Castle Hill..our suburbs are beautiful to raise a family! KDR was a big decision for us but I'm sure it will all be worth it! Looking forward to many good times in our brand new house in the spot we know very well.
