I did my final housepct inspect on Tuesday. Mind you this was a mission it self. Ss didn't allow them to go in initially and asked them to wait until handover. But long story short I managed to get them in. Warning: don't trust the Clarendons so claimed 200 point check before last two weeks of handover. During my walk through I only saw paint touch up issues. But the report came back with many more small defects which I wouldn't have known. Ex. Insulation on ceiling and sarking is not done properly. Down lights holes not correct size. Cabinet minor damages etc. Interestingly my SS asked for the report so he can give it to the handyman. So I highly recommend getting this final report done on or before your handover. Hi..just a general question..why did you go with housepect? My understanding was that Clarendon do provide inspection services by using an external company after all the major stages? Customers do not have access to those reports? or is it not good enough? Always good to get a private inspector to get a 2nd opinion because the people Clarendon get don't really pull up many defects - our frames got passed by their inspector but our inspector found numerous issues...makes you wonder... T Hi..did Clarendon rectify the issue based on your inspection reports? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17547Jul 30, 2017 12:18 pm For those building with Clarendon at present on Evolution package, have you received communication regarding Novelli bath fittings being discontinued and being replaced by Harmony range? Has anyone seen the Harmony range? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17550Jul 30, 2017 7:32 pm Mrs RS Hi all what's the next step after gyprock and water proofing done very curious ... Kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities. Assuming your cornices and architraves are also done, then painting should also begin. They have to do the second stage of waterproofing in about 7 days before any tiling can be done. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17555Jul 31, 2017 10:03 am We have been facing a really long delay (coming up to 4 weeks despite weekly chasers) with quotes coming back from Colours - anyone facing the same issue? Our land is getting registered this month and I was wondering, besides external colours and brick, is there any other thing that has to be done in order to get the plans through DA/CDC? Our staircase, aircon, electricals will only be done in September because of the backlog. Really unhappy with the admin process with Clarendon as I thought Clarendon had a good admin process which made us go with them over Wisdom Homes. My build blog here Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17557Aug 02, 2017 8:38 am for us it took 10 days, i think it depends but by law they should start in 20 working days. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17560Aug 02, 2017 4:07 pm Hi everyone. I'm planning to build my first home with Clarendon. Haven't signed anything yet though. We chose them as they have the floor plan that includes everything we want, Killara 28. Their online reviews are much better than most of the builders and their customers service has been good at any display centre we visited so far (pretty much all of NSW). This thread has 17k posts and it will be hard to read all. I've skimmed though and overall feedback seems to be positive. Just a quick question who is or has built with Clarendon, would choose them again to build your next house? Would love to share the store if we actually go ahead with them. Have a great afternoon. Killara 28 the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6808 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant. The Dept of Fair Trading would love to see this one! Do the gutters pool water after it stops raining? Although it's… 4 7929 |
