Who's building with Clarendon?? 15225Jun 23, 2016 7:01 pm Spart rogy Nice progress mrrrrt! Paging all brickies please call Adam M so he could continue on our bricks, 12 weeks to date and did not even finish the ground floor ;-( , we'll just hope we could still move in before Christmas..... That sucks Rogy. I'm sure it won't make you feel better to know I'm almost at week 20. And only half my bricks done. No brickie for the past month. Sorry to hear about your build Spart, probably brickies are going for the highest bidder and Clarendon is not making any effort. We'll my wife drive passed the site and they are doing the roof in the absence of brickies which is a good idea. Probably ask your SS to do the same while waiting for brickies at least one less to do and to protect against the elements (first floor board). I was under the impression that 2 storey houses all had a contacted time of 34 or 35 weeks these days. Double storey. So looks like nsw is much slower than qld in build time? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15232Jun 23, 2016 7:35 pm bumblebee1985 Hi all We've just been told that basic painting only includes 1 base coat and 1 colour coat...did anyone stay with this or did everyone pay the 1500 to upgrade to 2 colour coats? Seems the further along this process we get, the more bombs are dropped on us! viewtopic.php?t=83651 Building a modified Sheridan 35 We paid it for the 3 coats... it is a ridiculous amount for it but we think it will look better! We are currently at week 23 of our build and look like moving in the 2nd week of the school holidays, so that will be week 26. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15234Jun 23, 2016 9:33 pm I think we had a 40week contract and were told that was worst case scenario. We went to 36 weeks I think. Even though we were told 24 weeks was standard. Don't rush through. At our PCI walkthrough they were still painting and fixing chipped tiles etc. so at handover you need to really do all your checks again. There is also a guy on here that does a PCI checklist which was useful. I think it costs under $5 but has a checklist for every room. Also have a couple of questions myself such as: 1) Is anyone self funding? if so did you have to provide proof of the entire contract amount? 2) we are building the sapphire range, does anyone have any pamphlets or detailed info on this? 3) were clarendong open to negotiation on things such as liabilities if they run over (to cover rent etc). appreciate all the advice you can give. cheers Adam Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15239Jun 24, 2016 11:37 am Just received an electricity bill from AGL. Does Clarendon pay this? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 15240Jun 24, 2016 2:09 pm Dark Helmet Just received an electricity bill from AGL. Does Clarendon pay this? We asked Clarendon about this during our tender presentation. They told its house owner responsibility to pay for electricity bill. the stair balustrades?
