Also will you go for timber or concrete retaining wall? If it all gets a bit expensive then I'll put in a timber one myself and worry about it in 10 years Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17070Apr 12, 2017 10:50 pm k3nnis The landscaper told me treated timber will last 25 years..... Depends what they use. H4 treated can last longer than 10 years in theory but 10-15 is the standard. If they use H5 then yeah 25 years easily. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17072Apr 18, 2017 9:52 pm Just wondering what brand/model garage door opener does clarendon use. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17074Apr 19, 2017 7:34 pm k3nnis Oh ok must be H5 then. Concrete was double the price apparently. I don't think I have that kind of budget at this stage. What are you building ? Do you have a blog? Haven't got a blog. Was thinking of doing one but with work and newborn baby I don't have the time. I see that most builders offer 3 coats but Clarendon only does 2 coats and I'm a bit worried that it might be a bit too thin for the white shades. Anyone done 2 coats of any white shade previously? Building a Oceanside 36 @ Kellyville Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17078Apr 24, 2017 6:56 pm Concerned about it also. If the budget wasn't so tight I'd love to go for the 3 coats. My philosophy during this build is to spend the money on the stuff that can't easily be fixed later. I asked the sales consultant about it, and he said all the display homes were only done with 2 coats and they look pretty good to me. Would love to hear from people who've only done 2 coats what they think. I paid extra to get the 3rd one unfair when this should be standard but no choice. This enables more colour choices too. keep in mind 1st coat is tinted primer/undercoat. 2nd is low sheen paint. so in my books it's really 1 coat if you know what I mean. It would appear that there is a regular installation practice that causes squashed and crushed ducting and that the installers and Clarendon think this is an ok practice the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6713 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
