Excellent....not long till March now. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 4446Feb 07, 2015 2:07 pm Took a quick drive to the site hoping to get inside. Bonus, doors are on but not locked yet plumbing and wiring done plus a huge pile of gyprock is sitting upstairs so I guess thats happening this week. Took notice of floor wastes and all good. Of course took some more pics Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Study Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Theatre Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen/dining Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Dining/family Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Laundry/WIP Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Rumpus Really looking like a house now!! Loving all these updates Had a look at your blog again.. and realised that I can't seem to locate our Tiles Direct selections anywhere.. did you receive something from them in an email after the selection was complete? I know we finalised things at the tile place itself but I don't remember getting an itemised selection sheet from them on the day or after.. all I can find is the upgrade cost on our post-contract variation form from Clarendon that shows the extra $330 we spent on tile upgrades. Samara - I had heard after care is an issue and to not sign handover before everything is fixed, but thats it with taps etc very hard to know until your in. Sydneybuild - Wowee they sure did get a move on this week for you, must be stoked to finally have things on a roll and moving forward. Looks wonderful! Are some of the bricks on your house getting rendered? If so thats what the different colour bricks are for. Rose - Thats it you don't want to pay until they have all been finished. Heidi - Your build is looking great! What is the blue wrap for again? Justwondering - I can't believe the plumber did that I would be annoyed though.. Congrats on finally getting your brickies! Coco - Oh exciting times it's all starting fo you, I'm not sure what the time on single levels is, I know ours is 30 weeks build time for double story. Cheryl - Yay for bricks!! Looking great. Pennodream - Almost didnt realise it was u again lol. Wow your place is looking amazing! My Update: Well bricks started for us Tuesday this week and almost bricked up to first floor, then scaffolding, first floor and roof so fingers crossed for dry weather. Are some of the bricks on your house getting rendered? If so thats what the different colour bricks are for. Aha! So that's what they are for... Yes we are getting the front rendered. Looking good on your progress too. Should have a roof soon and then you can stand back and admire it all You are in SCR aren't you? Some rain forecast on Tuesday... Let's see Our bricks are also starting next week according to SS Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 4454Feb 07, 2015 7:02 pm Looks great Heidi! Have you got brickies booked? Or are they going to try and do some internal things in the meantime? Your window splashback looks great! How wide is that window? It looks way bigger than ours Modified Cisco 37 QLD Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 4455Feb 07, 2015 7:13 pm rmjose18 Looks fantastic Heidi! Ur slab looks sooooo clean! Ours is disgusting! Loving all these updates Thanks rmjose18 I was surprised how clean the entire site was, not one bit of rubbish around. I'm guessing they had a clean up because there was a pile full of rubbish around last week! @ Nelly83 - the blue wrap is insulation, I'm guessing it allows them to continue works on the inside without bricking right away. Funny we're almost building the same house and you have bricks but no roof, have roof but no bricks @ Laura - no bricks yet, or that we've been told We get the occasional email update from SS with pics, but CSC usually tells us whats coming up. I'm guessing they'll start with internals since there is a heap of gyprock upstairs. The kitchen splachback window is 3 metres wide! Building modified Wentworth 35 Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 4456Feb 07, 2015 7:24 pm DG85 Nelly83 what color r ur bricks? I was going to ask the same thing.. they look very similar to what I expect mine to look like.. I'm not sure how wide ours is, even though we have the same type of window. Looking at the virtual tour of the Paddington 31, I'd guess our window to be around 2.5 metres (or just under) based on the Smeg 900mm stove-top pictured there and the fact that our plans show the entire splashback area to be 2.7m. I just love that type of window.. it's very modern. We have one of those on the opposite wall up high as well and then one up in the leisure room also up high but the one in the leisure room would be about 3 metres. Yup in SCR were lucky to avoid rain last week so fingers crossed. Hopefully roof starting next week after the bricks finish. Very impressed with my brickies, nice & clean and hard working. The bricks are the included 'engage' range. We looked at an upgrade in a caramel colour but looking at previous houses that used it there was too much variance for my liking. But the engage colour seemed the same colour on each different house. Heidi I thought we were building a similar floor plan. Will b good to see the final products and colours etc. Is yours all brick or do u have cladding & render? We have a splash back window but not 3m that is huge. Ours is similar to the one in the paddington. Building the Waterside34 (39 after upgrades) Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 4459Feb 07, 2015 8:22 pm Sydney-build mrrrrt Hello everyone! We've just had our tender presentation at the Bella Vista office last Monday to build Sheridan 34 with Oxford Upgrade Facade Sapphire (38 after modifications) @ Blue Horizon Estates, North Kellyville. We're still in getting a lot of changes in the tender offer document and hoping to finalise soon. I've been madly going through the forum since late last year and have found it very very helpful! Thank you all for sharing your experiences and learnings! It's very exciting too see progress in the house builds and can't wait to start building. Our land is yet to be registered. Just curious how long your tender process was from presentation to getting all your requirement captured and finalised? Very glad to have this forum - has definitely helped us prepare for our tender presentation with Clarendon. Hi mrrrt, welcome ! The time difference between our Tender and Contract presentation was 2 weeks. But not everything we requested was changed by Clarendon by the time we got to Contract. But they have been pretty quick in the admin turnaround for us. Its a big journey, from your current home to your new one ! So every little bit of information helps. We gained a lot from this forum. Another website you can look at is http://www.anewhouse.com.au I am also compiling some information on my blog .. its a work in progress ! http://killara24.wordpress.com Thank you Sydney-build. Absolutely agree, every small bit of information helps. I'm always taking note of tips and ideas - we're first time builders and don't know a lot. It's great to understand some of the terminologies that builders use, i.e., caddying, slab, hung door and so many more since the forum.
